Pre-Season 2013 - Real World Football - FM24/25 Update

Our pre season finishes next week at home to AEL Limassol. So far it's been a bit meh in terms of results with two wins, two defeats and a draw from the five games we've played.

1-2 v Gateshead
5-1 v Annan Athletic
4-3 v Dumbarton
0-0 v Livingston
0-1 v Arbroath

Not the most astute preparation for the SPL...

1-1 with Pacos de Ferreira in Portugal, in a game where Fabricio Coloccini got sent off for trying to throttle an opponent.

I think I remember Coloccini getting away with duffing up a Huddersfield player in a friendly in 2009. So it seems he gets his aggressive tendencies out early.

Nah he was okay on the sideline, smiling and chatting away. He came on and played well and looked energetic, set up the last goal but then for some reason he didn't look too enthusiastic after the goal.

yeah couldn't go mate but listened to it on Rovers player. Sounded ok didn't deal with Kevin Davies too well, did the Campbell injury look bad ?

Haha yeah Kevin Davies always seems to score against us - very glad therefore he didn't go to Burnley, they were linked with him.

Couldn't tell what happened to DJ exactly but he looked in a bit of pain, Bowyer said they'd assess him to find out more. Hope he's okay, he looked a lot better than he did when he was on loan last season.

Lost 4-2 to Real Betis last night. Played well, and had as many chances as our more illustrious opponents, but they had a lad who was absolutely clinical in sticking away a hat-trick. Plenty of encouraging signs for the season, not least Vaughan and Paterson scoring (the latter with a wonderful chip from a narrow angle), if only we could sort out the problem of switching off on set-pieces.
