We're hosting the Emirates Cup again, with Galatasaray, Napoli and Porto featuring this year. I think we're off for a game in Vietnam as well.

We've got a 'glamour' friendly against a Premiership club at home - that doesn't half show how far we've fallen. Knowing Rovers post 2010 it'll be the winner of Watford/Palace anyway, which is probably why it hasn't been properly announced.

Find it odd as well that Chelsea and City have already jetted out to America (or are about to, not sure) to play each other - twice.....

City - Chelsea played last night in America. City were 3-0 down after 52 mins and won 4-3 \o/

Dzeko got 2 and Richards scored the winner in the last minute.

Livingston and Annan away for us. I reckon we might get a decent Championship team at home given we're in the SPL now. Would love away, but we might get Blyth again or Whitley Bay.

The highlights of our pre-season are facing Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest at home. same old boring friendlies against a scattering of local non-league sides and then a couple of the Midlands 'big boys' who inevitable field a weakened side.

Again probably the only trophy you'll win this season.

I wouldn't even bet on them winning it against those teams.

Let's hope he won't be as catastrophically shit for you as he was for us. Completely found out in the Championship. Cheers Derek.

He was definitely not my choice for manager. But did he not do very well to keep you guys up in his first season?

But, he does have his negatives. Signed Ricky Foster from us for a transfer fee.

But then his mega positives are that he has had a huge clear out of players, most of which I'm sure Brown would have kept and he's told Stephen Hughes to fuck off and find himself another club as he won't get in football with us!

I HATE STEPHEN HUGHES!!!

He scraped us up the season before last. Not convincingly.

I hope he signs Foster back, he is a waste of space.

Ironic the clear out, considering that was one of his biggest failures here.

We've replaced our Botswana trip (their stadia weren't ready), with a friendly vs Reading.

Oh the glamour.

Sounds like us - we were reportedly involved in the planning a glamour tournament in South Africa (which I think Everton were also linked with) and instead we're off to Motherwell, Rangers and Blackpool.

Everton is our 'curtain raiser' home friendly this year - pretty annoying as we were playing them at home every season pre-Venky's and had a decent chance of beating them in all those games. Now it's seen as some sort of glamour friendly.

Saying that, I'll probably still go.
