Great goal, similar to the Norwich one though maybe better, 3-0 Rosicky.

That was incredible.

Sunderland at least look to be trying this half, may leave more space for us though.

Looks a lot better, Mata, Rooney and Januzaj behind RVP could be something special, with Carrick and Fellaini sitting deep to mop things up. All depends on whether we still push it out wide and cross it mind

That miss from Dzeko.

Fellaini is bloody useless, except that chance before the end of the half.

All he does is take one touch and then gets rid of the ball incredibly quickly, does nothing else with it. That or bundle into someone and give away a free kick.

Average first half - barely any crosses made.

I've been watching for about 10 minutes and we've played the best stuff I've seen all season.

Januzaj, Mata and Rooney linking up really well.

We were really bad today, Dzeko managed to out-shine everybody else though, including this absolute sitter.



Also, we really need Aguero back

No goals between Negredo and Dzeko for 579 minutes now (Negredo - 273 minutes, Dzeko - 306 minutes). Aguero's return is well timed.

Good win, good solid performance.

I have to say, Fellaini did get better in the second half. A goal would do wonders for him. I really want him to justify his fee.

Great stuff from what I saw.

Good formation, nice football. Fluid formation, something to build on for the first time all calendar year.

The further away Young and Valencia are from the team the better, shame one of them will have to play mid-week.

I was at the Emirates today - great performance, great result. Rosicky's goal alone was worth the ticket price.

Super Dzeko inventing new ways to miss sitters from 1 yard out.


Also, Negredo should be dropped before Dzeko, at least Dzeko gets in scoring positions before shooting 2 miles over

Nah, they're both in poor form but Negredo's a better player than Dzeko in virtually every way. More importantly though, they shouldn't be playing together. Dzeko-Negredo doesn't work as a partnership, it should be one of them with one of Aguero or Jovetic.

Dzeko is overrated.

Yeah he's great coming off the bench and finishing games off but more often than not when he starts he's pretty useless

He's not even that good coming off the bench to be honest. He had a great run of scoring off the bench last season but not so much this season.

The main problem with Dzeko is that even though he scores quite a few (17 in 28 in all competitions this year) compared to Aguero and Negredo he offers very little apart from goals. His touch, work-rate, link-up play, even his ability to hold-up the ball are all inferior to his team-mates. You add that to his proclivity for missing sitters and he's absolutely infuriating.


I'm not sure he's actually rated highly enough nowadays to be overrated.

And aye, that's what happens when you have 0 creativity in midfield and resort to 4-5-1 at home to an extremely average Villa side.

That was mainly Slash. That said he did have a great run of form in December/January.

Sturridge is lethal. Get him up top in the WC and get the best out of him Roy!
