His finish for the second goal was pretty good. But Rio and Fellaini were awful for the goal.
It's ridiculous. He was marvellous tonight, none of our players could get near him. A brilliant passer of the ball, fantastic touch, just a beautiful player.
Damn it.
VP.
bluemoon.
It's been that way for years with Rooney, he gets away with practically everything. The amount of dissent/swearing at referees he does without getting booked is astonishing.
It's as clear a red-card as you'll see. Shame he can't be banned for it after the match.
Aye, Rio's clearly past it now.
I've thought he's brilliant for a long-time but watching him against Barça really brought it home to me. I don't think there's a team in the world he couldn't/wouldn't get in to. He's phenomenal.

Cleverley, has been sub par for a couple of seasons, Gibson was just not cut out, and Anderson was made of glass and unfit.
But hats off to Moyes, Fellaini is the worst of the bunch. There is nothing he is good at, he's not mobile enough to be a midfielder at this club, he doesn't read the game well enough, he is technically appalling and he fouls a lot.
And to think, the solution is to give that man another £100m to spend.
bluemoon.
That's not fair, he's a good target man when played behind the striker. Unfortunately for Moyes, that's just a further indictment of Fellaini's signing because United should not be buying somebody like him to play behind the striker.

Newcastle are too fucking stupid at time though. Incompetence for the first not having enough covering defenders from the corner. Second goal was abysmal, playing a counter attacking side, so Newcastle try to stretch the game as far as possible. Delafeuo gets 1v1 with Dummett and Lukaku can get 1v1 with Coloccini. Newcastle fans actually demand stupid tactics, that maximize the opposition game plan and doesn't even play to our strengths at all.

Even then I wonder how much better off Everton are now having an actual player behind the striker rather than an oaf who will throw his elbows around and win a header here and there. I can't imagine he was the most creative 10 in the world.
I said before he was signed I was a touch worried about his mobility in games when we actually needed a player of his ilk (assuming erroneously that 'his ilk' was a ball winning central midfielder) but Moyes insistence on using him as some sort of box to box midfielder despite having no engine and being pretty poor in both boxes is just bizarre.
A new manager couldn't do much worse than showing Fellaini the door, there's a plethora of players in world football that could do a better job than him for nothing. Arsenal found one in Flamini.

Great place to end a match

Sissoko - Tiote - Anita - Gouffran is a midfield full of players who love grafting and tackling, no real technical player in there bar Anita who isn't really forward thinking, feeding a strikeforce who need it on a plate to score from.

We're a team that won the league by 11 points last season, except now we've got one of Chelsea's best players and a midfielder who always caused us problems when we played Everton. Yet somehow we're far worse, we've made Mata shit.
The excuses that we are in transition are getting tiresome, aren't Everton in transition? They're chasing a Champions League place for christ sake. If we had finished fourth this season, it would have been bad, but not as disgraceful as this. Hell, if we didn't have such a defeatist attitude, it'd be better. If we went for it in matches we'd feel better, how many clear cut chances did he have last night? Barely any.
Scholes said it well last night, at his time at the club if we were 3-0 down, we wouldn't have felt beaten, even at 1-0 down last night I couldn't see us getting back in it, that has been the case in most matches. I could take the defeats if we didn't have such a defeatist attitude. But in every match when we've gone down, we haven't looked bothered. We've looked predictable, clueless, no real attacking threat. We've become the biggest joke in English football.
Out of 15 league games this season at home, we've lost 7. SEVEN!
And Moyes' comment that we aspire to play like City is the worst comment of them all. He's topped all his previous ones.

again, no-one said we did

We managed a consolation against Tottenham, but were outplayed then, too.
Moyes is absolutely clueless, its little wonder his record with Everton was identical.

again I have no idea what you're on about, how you can complain about getting 3 points on the board when you're in a relegation battle baffles me

You're the worst sort of fan. If you win your game in hand, you could go as high as 11th. If you don't like it, then piss off back to the Championship where you'd be without Allardyce.
BR.
Go back to the myth that is the 'West Ham way' if you want then, and pass your way into the Championship.
