Australia need to bring back Warnie to sort Bell out.

I reckon this is a really good first innings from England considering how they started.

It wouldn't surprise me if Australia came out and made a right meal of their first innings.

I've switched over to the cricket now, the golf isn't particularly exciting today and the big climbs on the Tour de France don't start for a good few hours. Hope Australia get a wicket now so we can see England make them follow on.

Last wicket stands must be the most frustrating thing as a captain.

I''ve played 2 games this season where we've blown away the top order for virtually nothing and then a 50 partnership for the last wicket provided enough runs to win the game.

I'd fucking lose the plot if I played cricket and that happened.

In fairness, one of them was the captains fault. I had 2-12 and a few overs left but got taken off for some reason (I wasn't exactly bowling well, but I was hardly going for runs and would have tied up one end at the least) and an off spinner came on who bowled 3 or 4 overs worth of utter shit getting hit to all corners and then got the final wicket with an absolutely unplayable googly clipping the top of off.

Then we collapsed from a winning position.

Watson already looks extremely uncomfortable against Anderson.

Shane Watson is fucking awful.

Cost his team already with his usual spastic review after getting in and then out.

I take back everything positive I've ever said about Australia's batting.

Brainless, I think Rogers and Clarke are about the only two who haven't let the team down at some point.

England have been almost as shit at batting as Australia, it's only thanks to the efforts of Ian Bell that we've been able to push to okay scores.

That has to be the worry for this series as a contest, everyone knows that England are a better side than Australia but England won the first without playing well (with the exception of Bell and Anderson).

If England bat better I dread to think what they could do to this Australia side.

It sounds presumptuous but we have to expect Cook and/or Trott to turn up at some stage. I'd quite like to see some batting that isn't merely survival. Broad and Swann's batting at the end of our innings this test has probably been the most exciting moments for us at the crease.

Gilchrist has a good point.

You and Gilchrist should probably lie down for a while.

That huge feeling of reliance on Anderson, maybe they can use that to their advantage when coming up against the other bowlers.
