Yeah probably should have been a yellow there. Mind you the first one was a bit of a soft yellow, but that deffinetly was

No it wasn't, Oxlade-Chamberlain was on the counter and Gerrard cynically brought him down. Yellow all day.

Oxlaide-Chamberlin has got to be the most bring interviewee ever, and for a footballer that is saying something.

Fabianski made Sturridge his bitch. He was doing his laces up by the end.

His only mistake was flattening Agger at the end which we could have had a pen for and he missed a cross earlier which we should have scored but apart from that he was class. One of your best players today

Awful performance from Webb. Surely can't be considered a top class ref anymore.

Aye, Gerrard should have seen red and we should have had a penalty after Skrtel took out Santi.

Well I agree with Gerrard being off but the second penalty should have been when Chamberlain took down Suarez, the Skrtel/Cazorla incident was nothing.

Edit: Not forgetting the Podolski tackle on Flanagan as well.

The penalty that was given was soft as shit. Podolski tapped Suarez and he just threw out his legs from underneath him. If that's a penalty then the Skrtel tackle isn't nothing - he's gone through Cazorla and studded him on the top of the foot.

The Chamberlain tackle on Suarez was a stonewaller though. Hilarious.

Podolski didnt tap him, he took out his trailing leg. Suarez made a meal of it but its still a penalty

He didn't. He could have stayed on his feet if he wanted to. Contact does not always mean a penalty.

I fail to see how a slight tap on your right leg makes your left leg collapse.

I cant see how you can argue its not a penalty. Its soft as fuck but is not even debatable, penalty all day

It's quite obvious why I think it wasn't a penalty - I don't think the contact is enough to make Suarez go down. He's felt it and has thrown his legs out from out underneath him.

I don't see how you can say it was simultaneously 'soft as fuck' and a 'penalty all day'.

Everyone knows Webb is scared to make decisions these days, the biggest surprise is that he gave one penalty.

The first penalty was definitely a penalty, there's no debating it really, can't see how you can

Surely the rule is that should be a sending off.

Minimal contact on the first penalty although I'm not sure. Second was heroically unsubtle by Oxlade-Chamberlain so shoulda been given regardless, while how Gerrard avoided a red deserves questioning.

Suarez was booted in the ankle for the first penalty, he obviously "embellished" the contact so he could justify going down, but that's just so the foul would be rightfully given.

Gerrard should definitely have been sent off, Webb just bottled it as usual

It's pretty obvious how - I don't feel the contact made by Podolski is enough to send Suarez down. It's a contact sport and just because another player touches you in the area, you don't have a right to go down. If he had wanted to stay standing he could have done, but he's just felt the touch and thrown out both of his legs from underneath him.

Either way, we got lucky not to concede a second but should have had a penalty ourselves and Gerrard (and perhaps Sterling) should have seen red. Poor performance all-round from Webb.

Much ado about nothing, as you Englishmen say. Poor refereeing by Webb, deserved victory for Arsenal.

We could've won it despite the refereeing.
