It's just incredible how much he effects the Barcelona side.

Those that will tell you that Messi isn't the best ever because he has always had a World Class team and hasn't had to drag them kicking and screaming to success like Maradona might want to reconsider based on the evidence Barcelona have shown without him.

They've been far too reliant on him for the best part of 2 seasons now, sure it's this consistency of his that elevated him to the title of world's best player, but even the best of men will face setbacks sometimes. Now Barca will need to get the plan B, which they clearly haven't done so.
