Probably,

As long as we are smart enough to ship him abroad no one will mourn his passing.

Nah, Rooney's too much of a mercenary. He's a certainty to be off. The Glazers won't give him a contract big enough to keep him (and rightly so he's already on 250k).

I agree on the second bit too, with all the baggage he brings he's not really worth the hassle.

Yep, he's better than Benzema and I'm pretty sure Ancelotti is a fan.

Cheaper than Suarez would be too.

It's Atlético and they can't afford him. His wages are way, way too high.

Rooney is definitely off as people have said, and no one will really miss him.

Mata is a sexy bastard as well.

It's not it's a fan account. The guy running it used to do a Basque football account but switched to just covering Athletic.

Falcao looks to be out for the season + World Cup. Could mean Monaco in the market for a striker like Rooney

If he does go abroad I hope some film crew does a documentary on it.

Would be hilarious watching him adapt to a different culture.

£37m bid accepted according to the Telegraph, medical tomorrow.

They broke the story in the first place, so I guess it could be accurate.

Unless they've got one or two centre mids lined up this window i really cannot see Mata making a great deal of difference at the moment.

It's what I'm thinking. I'm getting ridiculously excited.

If RVP is back soon, then he will make a massive impact. But surely Kagawa has to go now?

He certainly won't address Utd's biggest flaw, their inability to dominate the middle of the park.

I think he was gone anyway.

Talk is that he'd be included in any Gundogan deal because Klopp loves him. Although seeing as that is apparently between us and Madrid, so I can't actually see that one happening.

Also, I don't think you guys realise quite how shit we've been all over the pitch this season. We need a new left back, centre back, two new midfielders and a couple of wingers. As the start of a recruitment process I have no complaints with this.

It's a shame, despite how much I love Kagawa he's only showing moments of quality, he hasn't been consistent.

Gundogan, if he does leave, would go to Madrid or Barca I expect.

"I have not made a final decision yet," Bild quotes him as saying. "BVB are the first team I am talking to, I will soon make a well-thought decision. But I am keeping my options open at this point."

Sounds like its not at all certain he will stay.

We'll see, I think it's a given that he'll leave at some point. It's certainly a bigger indication he'd leave than players like Götze ever did before they went.

As I said, I don't see him coming here regardless.

Aye Mata definitely won't fix our season because we've been awful everywhere. But like Ninja said as a first signing for our supposed 'overhaul' we couldnt do much better.

Sure Moyes said a few weeks ago that he doesn't see the same Kagawa as everyone else does, so he's been off since then really in my eyes. Shame, still really like him.

As for Rooney I too wouldn't be too arsed to see him go providing we keep RVP.

Of course he won't fix everything, but it's the beginning of the rebuild.

Kagawa is an odd case. He's clearly got the talent but I just don't think he's got the bollocks to stand up and be counted when we actually need him. I like him, and think if he'd come at a time when the team was playing better he would have fit in a lot better.

He's very good at linking things together in a team where confidence is high and the movement is good but I don't think he is truly creative in the sense that people think he is.

I'd like to see him Januzaj and Mata in the same team though.

Milan won't pay anything like his current wages, besides Seedorf looks like moving towards a 4-2-3-1 and with Balotelli & Pazzini both able to play the lead forward role they don't need him, nor is their space for him in the bank of 3.

Edit: Not sure why Multi Quote dropped King Luis & Bluemoon's posts, ah well, Shrek aint moving to Italy that's for sure.

Manchester United don't really need to be spending £37m on an attacking midfielder given they have Kagawa and Rooney, plus they could do with investment in the centre of midfield and in the defense, but similarly like Ozil's transfer to us it sends a big signal of intent. I really wouldn't be surprised if Mata's arrival galvanizes the whole club and his influence is far-reaching. He's a quality player.

Saying that, I still doubt that United will finish in the top four.

Mata contributed to 80 goals in 2 seasons before Mourinho came in.

Saying he won't make a difference is just fucking stupid, even if we are more in need of a CM.

Januzaj is the only one who looks like he can do anything in the final third at the minute.
