Phillipe Senderos has signed for Villa. Hopefully Ciaran Clark or Nathan Baker are on their way out as their both liabilities at the back..

Seems that our interest, if it ever existed in a serious way, has faded.

I think he'll go to City. Especially if Toure is on his way out. As TS says, it's a shame for Arsenal that the timing is wrong for him to rejoin when they need to strengthen elsewhere.

If we didn't have this transfer cap I think we'd already have bought him, that complicates it though. I can still see him ending up at Chelsea.

I'd 10343842394823489290238 times prefer it if he went to City.

Yeah, same. Chelsea were cunts before they got the money, City were alright.

Not ahead of Ramsey or Ozil he wouldn't, and they play in the only two positions he could realistically occupy. We'd have to move players round or rotate a fair bit to accommodate him.

Hes better than both.

Sam pls.
I was going to insert the classic Wayne Bridge goal from 03/04 but it's disappointingly not on youtube, so you're spared.

Anyway, fingers are crossed on Cesc. Hopefully Dave and Nando get to work on enticing him over, with maybe Mata putting in a good word too.

That's debatable for both but the point is that he wouldn't get into the team ahead of either of them at the moment. Ramsey is the beating heart of our side and is the first name on the team sheet when he is fit and in no world would he be dropped for anyone, whereas Ozil is out all-time record signing and Wenger will always accommodate him in his best position where possible.

I'm an Arsenal fan. I hate Chelsea. I imagine you hate Arsenal too. Don't act surprised.

I'm happy with our transfers so far and the fact that we are so active and the World Cup hasn't began yet.

Lambert and Can already signed, with Moreno to follow probably. Looking forward the rest of the transfer window.

In a way i agree that you dont really need him, as you need players in other areas. He would still improve your side though

He wouldn't be as good as he was before he left anyway imo. Rarely do returning players match the form they should that got them a move.

AC Milan are basically turning into and ex PL team. Balotelli, Taarabt, Muntari, Emanuelson, Essien, Robinho, de Jong and now they've just signed Alex.

I would still welcome him back as you can never really have too many good players, and as we all know Arsenal's injury record means we should look to have plenty of depth, so I'm disappointed that we're not going to get him and that he'll end up at Chelsea. I can only hope now that the reason Wenger isn't spending the money on Cesc is because he has another big-name lined up instead.

I know you're joking, but Javi Martinez is about the least likely Bayern player on the market.

Stats like these are really pointless.

You could have X player who plays one game, makes one cross successfully and has 100% crossing, same with shooting etc, then you can have Y player who plays 40 games.. the averages don't matter if the amount of games each player has played that season are not displayed.

Also whoever created that image has clearly gone and took all the stats on which Ozil beat Fabregas and chucked them together

I know.

There are some rumours linking us with Schweinsteiger, mind.

Same for us, some of the Bayern posters on redcafe think that one might actually have something to it, if Kroos signs a new contract.

He's on a high wage, fairly injury prone, and not as natural a fit in the Pep system as Martinez, Thiago, or Lahm. In fact, I get the impression that if he wasn't thought as as a Bravarian club man, he might already be gone.
