Happy to see him sign, even if it means we'll get more for him if we have to sell its a good move all round.

Also great to see FSG & John Henry putting their money where their mouth is with regards to this deal, nice to have owners who follow up on promises unlike the last bunch of yanks.

Liverpool may have the more glorious history but clearly players do not see them as a step up from Chelsea, given that they've not won a title in over twenty years and haven't been in the Champions League. Working for Mourinho is also much more prestigious than working for Rodgers as well.

Nah you should have just left it at cringe.

Or point out that its cringier that the Liverpool fans lap it up.

Hardly said anything wrong tbf, it's not really a dig at Chelsea it's more defending the club and the player

So, are we getting something this transfer window? We really need a holding midfielder since Lucas in so injury prone lately. Sad to see Selah and Matic go to Chelsea.

Saw the documentary earlier. Really heavy stuff but well worth watching.

I think they only take into account absences due to injury.

Shows how lucky (maybe not lucky given the recent criticism of Pellegrini's dealings with muscle injuries) have been with injuries compared to City. Aguero, Kompany and Silva have each missed over 30% of our season. Jovetic and Nastasic nearly 50% too and they're arguably more "first-team" than Coates and Enrique

This thing with luck or lack of it in regards to injuries is baffling to me.

Injuries are part of the game and the fact is some clubs deal good with them while other not so much. Any team should have a plan for injuries: make sure they have quality replacements, a good youth setup to cover worst case scenarios and of course how they handle training and the injuries themselves (to minimize the risk of injuries and reduce the injury time).

If one club always blame their lack of trophies to injuries season by season (Arsenal), well, they have only themselves to blame really and maybe try and see what causes this year by year and address the issue rather then just moan and blame it on bad luck.

Aye, I agree with Martinez about muscle injuries, saying they should never really happen to footballers who are trained in the right way. And some players (like the 3 I mentioned), really are not easily replaceable at all.

Maybe "lucky" was the wrong word, maybe "fortunate" fits better?

How Anfield will look once the redevelopment is finished:

Should have a capacity of around 58,000 when completed. I'll believe it when I see it.
