The Palindrome is a class stadium, and there's a reason it looks like it does
Carroll.

Which is a bit bizarre to then see people suggest you haven't been lucky.
To an extent you can control muscle injuries, but Liverpool have had virtually no long term injuries of any sort.
Liverpool have been incredibly fortuitous for lots of reasons this season, its why most have a sense that this is your year.

Yeah it's not a dig.
Most title winning teams have more than their fair share of luck.

You're not going to get many penalties if you're never in the penalty area.

Howard Webb is the prime example, his bottling of decisions allows him to referee World Cup finals. If he fucked up against Ferguson's Man Utd, then I really doubt that would have happened.
Carroll.

Howard Webb's not given us a decision for about 3 years.
Croy
Exactly!

Liverpool have had a very, very good season and probably play the most watchable football in the league but to deny that a lot hasn't gone their way, whether it be in terms of referees decisions, complete lack of injuries to key players or even the coincidental non existence of any real top quality teams to challenge them just doesn't stack up.
They can still be deserving champions whilst acknowledging that virtually everything that could have gone their way this season has done, with possibly the exception of their disappointing summer transfer window.
It's also fairly funny watching Liverpool fans give the explanation in terms of why big teams get more in the way of penalties despite spending a good part of the past 2 decades whinging and moaning about it when the shoe was on the other foot.
bluemoon.
That's pretty much spot on for me.
And we've also had more than our fair share of shocking decisions from referees with offside goals losing us matches, and potential leg-breakers going virtually unpunished.

How on earth have you read that post and come to the conclusion thats what I was saying?
Carroll.
As for the lack of top teams comment I wont even go there. Chelsea, City and Arsenal are in better positions than when United won it last year
Poe
I agree with the rest of your post though.

Since about February he's been back to diving once or twice a match too.
Carroll.
I'm not saying he doesn't dive btw, he does, just a lot less than last year.

Even using your example and nothing else those decisions meant you lost a game you should have drawn and won a game you should have lost. Thats a 3 point swing in your favour for the Sterling decision (-2 from City +1 for Liverpool) and a 6 point swing in City's favour (-3 from Liverpool and +3 for City) meaning that you're 3 points better off than if the correct decisions had been made.
'Everything evens itself out' is one of my least favourite football cliches because its patently not true. Take this adjusted table from a season or two ago and then disregard everything it says, except for the fact that it clearly shows that some teams will over the course of a season benefit more than others.
When it gets tight the finest margins decide the difference between champions and also runs, and luck is one of those fine margins, something that has gone Liverpools way this season.
Carroll.
And yeah we have had luck. But so have City and so have Chelsea.
SpinSwimScream
and as much as I hate to say it Liverpool do deserve the title, regardless of decisions. They could get a bunch of horrible decisions next season, these things happen.

I don't actually know how you watched that game and can't think of the incidents I'm talking about.
I'm not attempting to deny you deserve to win the league, or asterix your achievement or whatever. Champions having luck is as true for you as it was for City, Chelsea, or us in virtually any season you care to remember. Just a Wenger-esque blindness to its existence is just a bit weird.
