So Vidal has been quoted as saying that he doesn't know if he's staying at Juve but he's not going to Manchester.

Fantastic, watch Barca sign him in days now.

Di Marzio has since put up an article where the Manchester part of the quote is absent, I guess more significantly is that these quotes came from him landing back in Italy. So one way or another this story is moving to a conclusion.

Yeah, it definitely looks like what he did say was twisted to fit the story.

This is the full transcript apparently:

Whats the deal with Mangala?

Really dragging on for what seems to be a straightforward transfer. Any strength to the whisperings he's dragging his heals because he's more interested going to Chelsea?

He did say a while ago that he would slightly prefer Chelsea because they're in London. It seems to be done though barring any hilarious last minute cockups. City accidentally released a behind the scenes video of him doing all the crap that players do when they sign. It's already been taken down but somebody's already hosted some of it elsewhere

I literally just saw an Adam Crafton tweet saying the same thing. Apparently the video was shot a week ago. Weird not to announce it in that time.

Yeah he was spotted at Carrington last week or the week before. The general consensus/speculation seems to be that it's some third party stuff that's holding it up; might be bullshit but it certainly sounds plausible.

That said, the fact Porto haven't announced it to the stock exchange suggests it isn't entirely done yet. They were pretty timely with Fernando and Bruno Martins Indi.

The video was done last week cos Mangala was supposed to be going on holidays or something, so he wouldn't be there when it was made official. The hold-up is due to his representatives being awkward. Everything else is done

Harry Maguire and Andrew Robertson to Hull. Seem like good signings.

Patrick van Aanholt to Sunderland. A good signing, means Sunderland will actually have a left back at the club which is a positive.

Hasn't actually signed yet.

Harry Maguire remains fully committed to Sheffield United, Andy Butler has revealed, despite the continued uncertainty surrounding his future at Bramall Lane, writes James Shield.

Maguire, a former England under-21 international, is expected to feature during tonight’s friendly against Dundee amid claims that Hull City are preparing an improved £2m plus bid after having two previous offers rejected by the League One club’s board.

But Butler, who joined United from Walsall earlier this summer, described his fellow centre-half’s attitude as exemplary ahead of the meeting with Paul Hartley’s side.

“Harry has been absolutely brilliant,” Butler told The Star. “Obviously, as everybody knows, there has been a lot of talk and speculation but it’s not affecting him one bit.

“If it is then it certainly doesn’t show which speaks volumes about him anyway. He’s trained really well and has been brilliant to work with.”

Maguire, aged 21, has been an ever present during United’s first two warm-up fixtures ahead of the 2014/15 season with manager Nigel Clough, who held talks with the player earlier this month, insisting following Tuesday’s draw at Northampton Town that City have not been in contact since tabling a package, initially worth £1.75m, nearly a fortnight ago.

“If anything else has come in then I’m not aware of it,” Clough said. “There’s nothing new to report and he remains in our plans.”

Southampton could well get relegated here. They need a new team pretty much.

20m for Lovren is crazy money too.

If an ex-Lyon and international standard centre-back is worth only £20m, then £16m for someone who has played 21 games ever is not a good deal. If Lovren and Chambers go, then Southampton have a paper-thin defence.

Gonna be interesting for them.

They've bought pretty well since they've been in the league and they're getting good fees for their players, probably out of the financial shitter now. Losing Schneiderlin as well would be a real blow but if they can keep him they've still got an ok core of players to work with in him, Ward-Prowse, Clyne, Rodriguez, Ramirez, Cork, Wanyama, Tadic, probably just need a centre back or two and they'll be fine.

They haven't been in the financial shitter for years, they were loaded before they started selling all their players which makes it even weirder that they're losing them all when they can afford to pay for big contracts.

Before this batch of sales they owed ~£27m in transfer fees.
