Tony Gale on Sky: "I understand whats going on up there, they don't like London people being in charge at the club at the top & the manager as well"

Fucking hell.

It is true in fairness. - I can see why Tony Gale thinks it. 'We' do always reference London - although I'm guessing other clubs do as well. A minor issue though.

And I really can't see anything other than a 2-0 defeat.

It's not true at all - if a "London person" came here and spent money in order to make us competitive/ambitious we'd have no problem with them at all.

Chris Hughton was born in Forest Gate in London and was loved by the fans here. It's total rubbish.

Has nothing to do with where people come from it's to do with their lack of ambition.

Pardew won't quit btw, he has way too much of an ego to do that - he really thinks he can turn things round He also has way too much compensation heading his way.

I think we'll win with an unconvincing performance like we did vs Cardiff the last time this happened.

That's exactly why I think he'd quit after trashing Hull. It'd be glorious

The arrogance of a man that has probably the worst form of any Premier League team over the past 20-25 games is amazing.

There is the "fat Cockney bastard" stuff for Ashley but I've not seen hatred for Pardew based on geographic origin and more on his ability, or lack of it.

Seeing as Gale is evidently a fan of Pardew, he is clearly going to come up with some bollocks out of his arse to defend him. He was co-commentator on the international feed of the Southampton game and he was irritating to listen to.

I'm not sure about London hatred from other teams. Hatred for people from other nations (especially certain clubs owned by wealthy Russian, American and Arabian owners), maybe, but not as much on regional geography.

"We hate cockneys, we do, we hate Cockneys, we do, oh Cockneys we hate you" - I can see why Tony Gale might think Newcastle fans don't like Cockneys.

Not that it's the big issue here.

Tony Gale is just a tosser, end of. It's got nothing to do with any barely audible chants.

Yeah, protest was nothing - I got the impression most people were strongly against it,

Only time there was anything significantly negative was when Cisse was brought on for Riviere. Seemed the right sub to me,

Missed the game but it did sound like there were isolated pockets rather than a full stadium. There seemed to be more vitriol fuelling the protests during the game against Cardiff City back in May than in today's one.

As much as I don't want to put too much emphasis on Cisse being back given he's largely been poor since his first half-season, he can't be any worse than Riviere.

It's just not clicking with Riviere - and I think he'll benefit from being taken out the firing line, and hopefully return to a better looking side.

Ivory Coast media reporting Tiote wants to leave in January. Fan-fucking-tastic.

Meanwhile, gotta love the fact our 4th choice defender helped (mostly) shut out Sergio Aguero and co in the Champion League last night. By Pardew logic we should be keeping a clean sheet there in the Capital One Cup in a few weeks time.

Mbiwa was always better than Taylor and Williamson - possibly even Coloccini.

He just needed time and wasn't given it.

He's only on loan right? Presume they make it permanent though, rare that you see a non youth player go out on loan and come back to play for the team now a days.

Tiote is now saying he does not want to leave. Which means in January he probably will.

Yeah but Roma have option to buy for a knockdown fee, and given Rudi Garcia already likes him, he probably will.

FS Pardew.

I said he should drop Cabella for Obertan. And now I'll look like (more of an) idiot when Newcastle get beat 176-0 later. Pardew OUT!.

I think it was less dropping Cabella for Obertan and more the not dropping Gouffran. Least it was in my case given Gouffran doesn't seem to do anything apart from run around a bit. Though at least he didn't nearly concede a penalty again.

I only watched the last 40 minutes but from what I saw, Sissoko was utter shite, Obertan seems to be bouncing back after spending the last two seasons in exile, Sammy Ameobi looked decent when introduced, 2011/12 Cisse might have been found again, and we did cause Swansea's defence legitimate problems.

Bet Ashley fires Pardew anyway just for the lolz.

Aye Gouffran and Cabella have been imo the two worst players. Gouffran seems to have lost his effectiveness and work rate, and Cabella just does nothing. Sissoko is a bit of an issue because he's more effective on the wing, but doesn't really create enough.

At least Obertan and Sammy managed to get actual crosses over. Cisse's goals were tremendous today.

Also well played Pardew for showing some balls today. And being willing to drop players.

We did look better when Gouffran was taken off - something which applies both for today and for Stoke on Monday. So he has to be dropped a right now he looks a shell of the player he was this time last year.

Sissoko is a problem, and he probably justified dropping with the error that led to the goal by Routledge. I don't think we know what his best position is, and I'm not sure he knows anymore either. Cabella also has to be figured out given he's our £12million mega-buy but he has looked almost entirely anonymous, or panicky when a shooting chance goes his way (which happened at least 4 times vs Hull).

There is also still the defence question mark, and as much as it maybe too soon to throw in someone like Remie Streete or Curtis Good, Coloccini and Williamson really need to wake the fuck up.

Gouffran is always going to be one of Pardew's favourites because of his work rate, same with Sissoko.

Coloccini was our worst player on Saturday I thought - doesn't look interested for some reason.

Cisse though

I know at the top of the page we had the "Noocarsul fans hate Laandaners" debate and thanks to Dennis Wise, it appears everyone else now is. Seeing as I didn't use a BEIN Sports stream on Saturday (which is the Middle Eastern Premier League broadcaster, and where he was a guest for that afternoon), I can't comment first hand, but he said we hated him, Ashley, JFK and Pardew because they're all Londoners.

Obviously its easy to feel this is bait laid by a former Ashley employee whose haircut makes him look like Hitler without the tache (which is what he did look like in photos), or wonder if Richard Keys is struggling to get guests of repute on BeIN Sports (like I did) but fucking really? This shit again?

Wise did this before - just after the verdict in the Keegan tribunal five years ago, Keys helped Wise publicly defend his role, say it was Keegan's fault and defended Ashley's (then even worse) running of the club, even though Wise was fundamentally proven to be why Keegan left in the first place.

As a former Sunderland boss and someone who once hid behind David Beckham to get away from Shearer, I would've been surprised if he'd written something nice about us. Personally I'm more surprised by a quote from the book saying "Clive Clarke's heart attack made me glad as it distracted from Sunderland being knocked out by Luton".
