Very well put!
Liverpool-Chelsea and Spurs-Sheff Utd in the Semi's.

How were Sheffield United lucky? They were clearly the better team.

Well, you were right about the winners of our tie facing the Blades.
I missed the game and tbh it sounds like I was doing myself a favour by avoiding it. Also sounds as though Jak Alnwick damaged his shoulder so Freddie Woodman will be making his first Newcastle appearance in the Tyne-Wear Derby... that might be a stretch too far.

West Ham fans hate Spurs and I highly doubt they're too fond of Chelsea either??
I'd have thought Liverpool would have been West Ham fans' preferred choice to win it.
NiceLad
West Ham fans absolutely despise Sheffield United because of the Carlos Tevez affair
Carroll.
True in a sense, but it's a semi final place and I know its a shit trophy but still a trophy. I can see why he played them, especially as we are super low on confidence.
He's a Bournmouth fan aswell

Tottenham v Sheffield United
Will take it. Probably lose over two legs, but if we can keep the score lowish in the away leg, i fancy us over a one off match at home.
bmg033
All you have to do is sit back against us, we always fail to beat teams that do that.
Jason
Thats exactly what we'll do, did it against West Ham and Southampton. We try to do that in the league, it never ever works.
Been reading a lot of your fans forums, and a lot seem to be taking the piss out of playing us, and classing it as a pass to the final, 18 cup games and wee've lost two, for a league one team, thats some going. 6 against higher league clubs too.
BR.
That's what they were apparently like with us before the 2002 League Cup final. Needless to say they weren't laughing afterwards
I do expect Spurs to progress over the two legs but they should be two decent games. But wouldn't write you off, given your cup record.
Jason
That is the thread in question.. I don't see us winning over two legs, maybe if it was one game then i'd give us a 50-50 chance, but over two legs i don't see it. Just hope we don't go down 8-0 or something over both legs.
bmg033
Yeah but plenty are saying that it wouldn't be surprising if we lost too, including me.

Most of the players have recently said that they are only now becoming familiar with Pochettino's tactics. That looks true based on recent performances, we just need a natural leader at the back to hold the defence together and I really feel that we could make a push for either 4th or a Europa League win. Its unlikely but its not impossible.

I'm going for a 2-2 draw tonight and then a 3-1 win for us in Sheffield. Usually when I predict a Spurs win, we then lose or draw.
Carroll.

Debatable. You were losing, then Sterling scored. Sterling doesn't score = you lose, so can see where their coming from. If you 'should have' won, you would have won, simple
Carroll.
Tommo.
A) Beat Liverpool and make final but lose to City next week
B) Lose to Liverpool but beat City and go 8 points clear.
Cundy said although they would still be 2 clear of City with a loss he would rather take the win over City then Liverpool
Tommo.
What happened on this. Looked away and they where just like this
