Hi guys. Great work you have done with this mod, but there is something I've noticed about:

That ID is the main competition, but its not "playable". It has 2 comps in its structure that are playable, those are 215440 and 215441. Because that, with the current xml, it just shows default banners in game and not the ones for that comp. If in the future you make an update, would be great if you can duplicate banners(both are part of the same main comp and banners are correct) and change/add the correct IDs in the xml file.

Installation

Q. How do I install the Adboard Patch?

PC
1. Extract the contents of the rar folder to your desktop.

2. Move the ads folder to the following directory: My Documents /Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/graphics/pictures. This will now give you the following directory: My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/graphics/pictures/ads

3. Open up the My Documents /Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015 folder and create a new folder called 'ads' giving you the following directory My Documents /Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/ads

4. Move the 'Club adboards' and 'no club adboards' folder from your desktop to a new directory you make in My Documents /Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/ (The name doesn't matter)

5. Decide if you want to use the 'Club adboards' or 'no club adboards' once you have decided copy and paste the fm.xml file from 'club adboards' or 'no club adboards' folder to the ads folder you created earlier

Make sure that the ads & pictures folder names are in lower case

6. Open up FM15 and access the in game preferences menu.

7. Go to the 'display' tab and untick 'use skin cache'
tick 'reload skin on confirm'
untick 'clicking on an ad board takes you to its owners website'
Go to the 'general' tab and set size of text & images to 100% (if not already)
Confirm these changes

8. Reload FM15 and enjoy

I am having some problems getting the ad boards to appear. The FM defaults are still showing and I would be grateful if you can help out.

Currently I have the ads saved using the following file path:

remove this folder "clubadboards" so move the fm file to the ads folder like below

Below was from the instructions listed in this thread on how to install, as you can see this is the part you failed to do.

exactly the same as you,

you need to do a folder called ads in my documents/sports interactive/footballmanager2015....then put one of the xml files from inside the clubadboard folder you downloaded out of the pack..So if you want club adboards to work put the club xml file in the ads folder you have made in the location i have just mentioned or if you just want comp adboards just put that xml file in there.

It's great to see this patch still going and thank you to everyone who's kept it ongoing!

I've had a go at mixing some flags I made with some ad boards and have the banners in the correct locations in the stadiums replicating their real life locations, what does everyone think of these? are they worth continuing with?

Cheers mate, that has helped.

I can now see ad boards featuring Castrol, Coca Cola, Subaru etc. Mind you there are still some default Football Manager and Movember ads showing. I will try and get a screen print so you can see them . I am trying to use club ads at the moment for Strasbourg.

Edited to add. Much the same as Cloughie's pic in the post above.

Man I give up, I'm clearly doing something wrong just can't see what. I just get the occasional blank white space showing when using the no club adboards (For some reason I cant get a screenshot), but get standard default boards everywhere else

Below are the directories I have:

Config File:
C:\Users\carl.lewis\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2015\ads\fm.xml

Images:
C:\Users\carl.lewis\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2015\graphics\Pictures\ads\africa/asia etc (8 folders in total)

My preferences are also set correctly.

These are the files straight from the download and not edited in any way.

So, is your Adboards Patch compatible with this ?

Because the Banners, Flags ...are very cool and realistic...So it would be amazing, if it is possible to use this Patch AND your Patch for the real Adboards.

This mod uses our patch as they state here:

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS!
As with the FM14 version of this that I created last year, this mod owes thanks to the “FM 14 Ad Board Patch” created by tv_capper at sortitoutsi.net, which added realistic ads to the advertising boards. We’ve used their original xml file as a base, changing where necessary and adding a lot onto it, and replaced all their league-specific ad images with club-specific banners and flags.

So as they have modified the original file - they are not compatible
