In actual transfer topics, Sky are reporting Wilfried Bony is in advanced talks with Man City ahead of a £30million transfer.

Meanwhile, Newcastle have denied Moussa Sissoko is in talks with PSG for a £25million transfer. Given how little PSG used Cabaye, I really don't know why he would be that keen on moving. In saying that I said that about Cabaye last year and he still left.

For me, Sissoko is a similar player to Matuidi. I cant see them both in the team together and to pay 25 mil for someone who is basically the same player, role and ability wise, when PSG are tight with FFP seems a bit odd.

There was a rumour a little while ago that PSG might try a part exchange deal with Sissoko moving to Paris and Cabaye returning to Newcastle. I personally didn't believe the offer at the time, and it seems to have since fallen by the wayside.

Sissoko will be sold I'm pretty sure of it - unsure why PSG want him though, he's not good enough for them.

Hope we replace him though, although I can't see it until the summer.

Can't really blame him though, I wouldn't want to stay at an unambitious club either.

I'm not sure Bony's a £30m player, but he's easily good enough to do what Negrado did before he went to shite.

Same here. I think he'll be replacing Dzeko more than Negredo though.

Makes you wonder why nobody snapped him up when he had the £20m release clause.

To those who are saying hes served his time etc etc. He hasnt. He's been released from prison on license, so is still technically serving his sentence, just under supervision of a probation officer. If he does anything, even 5/10 minutes late for a meeting with his PO, then he can be recalled to prison to serve his sentence in the comfort of a cell, being bullied by hardened criminals.

Also, he's showed no remorse, whereas Lee Hughes and McCormick did. Surely he would have an agent clever enough to tell him to show remorse and not comment further regardless of how he felt personally in the interest of his career. Instead his made it a witch hunt on this girl whos had to change her identity 4/5 times.

Why would you show remorse for a crime you don't think you've committed? It would almost certainly have an effect on any appeal process too.

Hughes and McCormick also committed crimes of negligence, while their crimes had a deadly outcome, they did not have any criminal intent. Rape on the other hand is a crime that requires criminal intent.

This isn't entirely correct either.

I could go into a bar, pull a woman, have sex with her but then claim she raped me. Just because i say she raped me, doesn't actually mean she went in that night to commit a criminal offence on my word.

Also, wouldn't purposely driving whilst knowing you're drunk be criminal intent?

It would.

Anyway, a thread for Ched Evans topic;

For drunk-driving perhaps, not for "causing death by dangerous driving". If there was criminal intent you'd be charged with murder.

Looks like Ødegaard is off to Madrid.

Probably the worst club he could have gone to, given that he had pretty much free reign.

I know i certainly wouldn't go to Madrid. They have the best amount of players they could buy atm.

I'm guessing he'll play for Zidane with Castilla.

Apparently he's been offered a place in the 1st team squad and shirt number 16, meaning he won't play for Castilla. According to Norwegian newspaper VG that is.

And he'll get about 30 minutes of game time a season before being loaned out to some other side in La Liga.

According to sources close to the Ødegaard family he's not yet decided on which club to sign for and that the only purpose of his Madrid visit is to train with the Real squad for a second time, local newspaper of Drammen, Drammens Tidende, writes.

Personally i'd go for Ajax if they offered. Proven record of taking in youngsters and helping them on to the next level.

I don't think Ajax are willing to pay whatever Strømsgodset want in compensation, otherwise I'd see it as the ideal move for him as well.

Apparently we are in for Emenike for £15.7m. All I know about him is that he plays for Fenerbahce & Nigeria and is one of those pace strikers on Fifa. Anyone know if he is any good? Hopefully this means goodbye to Adebayor.

Arnautovic, Bojan, Shaqiri. That would be mental to see that happen at Stoke. Oh and not forgetting the mighty Jon Walters...

Leicester have signed that Kramaric lad but talk is there's a deal in place for him to go to Chelsea in the summer. Something about Chelsea not being able to buy him then loan him out in same window so they struck a deal with Leicester

Who's reporting that last part?

Makes sense to avoid Chelsea if you're a young player.

Don't see why he was a priority signing for us. Other areas of the squad are more in need of improvement.

Valdes confirmed at United. Good signing I reckon, good experience. Especially with the Lindegaard rumours.

Now bloody give De Gea a new deal.
