Naturally, you'd like to think not. However, having watched some of the decisions that haven't been called do make you wonder, purely on the basis of just how blatant they are- in relation to the penalty situation. While it's not a hidden secret that the FA and Chelsea haven't always been on the same page. 50/50 calls in general are the nature of the beast, we've certainly gotten our rub of the green a few times this season with the likes of Costa and Cahill not being sent off when they should have at times. While also getting some not go our way like Tim Howard handling outside the box early in the season, Costa, Fabregas, Willian booked for diving when clearly fouled. Those you take on the chin because you know they'll come back around eventually.

The non penalties though, somethings gotta give. For this sort of thing to happen as often as it has this season, it seems a little rich. One or two calls, I can understand. Officials make mistakes, miss things, etc. But not when it's been this often and clear;
- Costa vs Burnley (No penalty called, resulted in Costa being booked for diving)
- Terry & Ivanovic vs Man Utd (Both being held at the same time by Smalling and Rojo at a corner, both penalties, neither called)
- Fabregas vs Southampton (Cesc clearly fouled while controlling the ball, no penalty, booked for diving)
- Costa vs Liverpool (Costa does Skrtel who makes a challenge and gets all man and no ball, no penalty given)
- Ivanovic & Costa vs Burnley (Ivanovic's strike hand balled by defender who was a considerable distance away and had his hands up in a non-natural position after jumping to block the shot, penalty waved away. Costa cuts back inside and the defender shoves him in the back once he's beaten, no penalty given)

About a month ago the average time it took Chelsea to win a penalty (EPL) was 13 games, compared to Man City who were getting one every 3.7 games. Martin Samuel had a interesting piece here which highlights it a bit more. I could understand a low count if we weren't an attacking side but we've currently kicked 58 goals in the league, 1 behind Man City and 3 ahead of Arsenal. History and stats show that with that sort of output the number of penalties this season have been considerably low.

I suppose to sum up what you originally asked. While unlikely, I wouldn't be surprised.

Edit: spelling

Jesus christ

EDIT: Out of all this conspiracy nonsense you've basically 6 penalties you believe you've not been given in what 29 games?

Evidently, I'm missing your point re: bolded parts...

I'd like to believe there isn't. (Top)

And while it's probably unlikely, it also wouldn't shock me if there was. (Bottom).

Hardly anything contradicting, which is what I am assuming you're trying to pick at.

You actually believe there's a campaign against Chelsea by referees

Costa v Burnley can't recall that penalty incident and can't find anything on YouTube.

Terry & Ivanovic is really something that every team suffers from don't they? I mean who is holding who inside the box? Either way Chelsea do this as much as anyone else and get away with it so it evens itself out.

Fabregas vs Southampton wasn't a stonewall penalty at all and in fact the more you look at it on a replay it looks like Fabregas puts his leg into the defender initiating the contact and going down. Do you see them given? Yes, definitely, just not that weekend.

Costa vs Liverpool was probably you're clearest penalty decision. Definitely a penalty, no doubt about that.

Ivanovic & Costa vs Burnley both very hit or miss appeals. The Ivanovic one, you see them given sometimes and sometimes you don't, I mean Chelsea got one against PSG that was similar. Hand in an awkward "unnatural" spot and referee gave the penalty for it. The tackle by Shacknell wasn't very much, he put his hands on Costa and he flopped to the ground and the referee probably got it right.

I recall Newcastle having a stonewall penalty turned down at your place when it was 0-0.

And Costa should have had around 3-4 red cards this season, if there was a conspiracy, he would have had them and more.

It's a ridiculous argument.

I honestly can't decide what's the better slip.

Gerrard costing his team the title (not even directly with the slip, he just tried to score 30 yard bangers whenever he could after that fuck up) and missing out on the honour he most wanted.

Or Captain JT, Mr Chelsea, Lionheart of England; slipping in a CL final on pens and him crying afterwards. What a moment.

But I guess the scummy cunt got his CL medal in the end anyway.

I was genuinely gutted that Gerrard slipped and helped Chelsea win the title, that was until i remember the cunt dived against us when we were 1-0 up in 2007, costed us two points, which would have kept us up, had we held on to win.

Chelsea didn't win the league though?

Didn't help Chelsea win the league but ended up costing Liverpool the title.

Another mistaken identity red card there. McAuley sent off instead of Dawson.

Ref apparently sent the wrong player off/shouldn't have been a red at all 2 minutes into the City game. I'm probably just suffering from short memory but the reffing this season seems to have been even more shocking than usual.

Not a chance, if Sterling goes why would he go to Arsenal when teams like Real are rumoured to be interested

They're about similar standard - Walcott a few years ago was tremendous.

Also, Sammy Ameobi has completed 3 out of 6 passes. In over half an hour of football.

Nothing player.
