Frequently Asked Questions

If you've never downloaded the pack before, you should just download the larger "complete pack".

If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.

If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.

If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, applying the oldest first and continuing to apply update packs in the chronological order in which they were released.
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. You need to use Winrar (or a similar program) to extract the downloaded file.

Contrary to previous versions of the game, there is no need to change any settings in the preferences in FM26.
You need to copy and overwrite the faces and the new config file from the update pack into the faces folder.

If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.

These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.

Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. It might be for FM24, but the steps are exactly the same.
It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

Otherwise, follow the steps in this comment and post the results so that we can assist you.
In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.

As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍
You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.

Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.
Extracting the file will take a while, but it shouldn't take the hours and hours that the program extracting will sometimes say it will. To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
The most recent update pack will include the most recent config file, so you can choose to download it and use it from there.

Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.

To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

So far so good. But can I have a screenshot of the folder in which the faces are contained?

The locations is fine, but you only seem to have download the latest update pack which only contains just under 2,200 images. This is only a very small part of the whole megapack, which contains over 160,000 images. That is why hardly any images are being displayed...

To download the full megapack, I suggest that you first download the 7.0 torrent from the lower part of this page and then apply each subsequent update pack (7.01 - 7.07) chronologically, overwriting when prompted.

You need to copy the images (and NOT the folder itself) into the main megapack folder. If you do it right, when you do so, you should get a prompt to overwrite the existing images. Click OK for all.

Installation of the player icons is similar to the main megapack, just put it all in a separate folder - perhaps here.

Thanks

We release a torrent version of the megapack just before each game is released. This is the .0 version of the megapack. 7.0 was the version released just before FM15, 6.0 before FM14, and so on and forth.

Update packs are then released periodically to add images to the megapack and replace existing images with better/more recent cutouts.

Therefore, if you download 7.0, you already have 6.0 and all its update packs. To be entirely up-to-date, you would then need to download update packs 7.1-7.7.

Due to the size of the file and the amount of work involved, torrent versions of the whole megapack are only released before the game release to allow the community to have a simple download available.

Hope this clarifies.

I would strongly recommend that you do download the update packs, although they are of course not mandatory.

The update packs include around 8,500 new images and around 9,500 improved cut-outs, so there's a lot more than a couple updated ones

I don't think download speed or connectedness is affected by the OS.

I don't recall having any reports about similar issues recently, and I can't even check with the site owner and admin as he is currently away on a well-deserved holiday. It could even be an issue with the service offered by the ISP.

Although it's not an ideal solution, can you give it a couple of days and try again? Do let us know if you still suffer the same issue at that point.

Hi guys,

Wonder if you can help me...

I have a C drive w/ 425mb of 60gb free, and an E drive with 762GB of 931GB free.

I have FM2015 installed in E but because my documents is in the C drive, the megapack is taking up valuable space.

I've tried moving my documents to the E drive but keep making an arse of things and can't get it to work.

Is there anyway I can relocate the megapack to my E drive at all?

You can move your whole FM2015 folder from your documents to somewhere in your E folder, then change the user data folder field in the in-game preferences...

I tried to download the player faces file and got the same problem, stopped working same point of download

the icons pack downloaded ok, also tried the logo pack and this stopped work after few hundreds mb's, kits and skins downloaded fine, seems to be files that are large, so I tried to download the packs individually but this also didn't work.

I had the files installed and working fine before on my old laptop, and I refuse to play FM without faces and logos as the games looks so rubbish without.

Any help would be much appreciated

Hey,

have a little problem and hope you can help me here.

I downloaded the 7.0 pack last year ,installed it and everything worked fine.

Had to reinstall Windows, made a backup for the graphics and i have all player faces but I´m somehow missing the config.xml.

Downloaded the latest 7.08 because i hoped there would be a config but there wasn´t, so my question is can i download the config separately?

It would save hours to download the pictures i already have just for a tiny config and it would help me greatly. Thank you

How many images in total do you have in your megapack folder? Do you have a config file?

Screenshots of the contents of your megapack folder might help...

I have downloaded all of my facepacks from this site but for some reason after downloading the 7.8 update I still dont have Martin Odegaards pic in my game... I have checked his ID in game and it doesnt match the id in my cut out pack....

My questions are as follows...

Does anybody have just the XML file for the latest update of the cutitout packs so i can try and change it over to see if that works?

If the above doesnt work what is wrong? His picture id in my graphics folder? Wrong in game? Is my facepack folder corrupt in someway

Any help greatly appreciated gang.

You need the latest official patch (15.3.2) I believe to add his face. It's not a facepack problem as such.

I downloaded torrent 7.0 megapack. Then update mirrors 7.1, 7.2 etc. up to 7.8. When I extracted 7.0, instruction says I have to extract .zip file to graphics.

Then I extracted 7.1 and instruction says... I have to PLACE CONTENTS NOT THE FOLDER to... FACES folder. WTF? And the best part, all instructions of 7.1 - 7.8 says they are 5.1 - 5.8 versions for FM09-FM13 from 2012. WTF??

Edit. Ok, ty.

The megapack is not divided by league or club or nation, so if only part of the megapack is displaying, then it almost certainly is a user installation error.

If you have the 7.0 megapack plus all the update packs released after it, then you should have over 161,000 images in your megapack folder. Is this the case? You should also have the preferences as indicated in the opening post.

It would probably also help if you posted screenshots of your megapack folder.

It's really rather straight-forward, I would have thought.

You do not just copy/paste the folders containing the update packs into the main megapack folder (i.e. you should NOT have separate folders with 7.01, 7.02 etc to 7.08 - but one folder with all the images in it). You are to copy the images plus config of each update pack into the main megapack folder. If you are doing it correctly, you should get a prompt asking you if you want to overwrite the existing files, to which you are to answer OK/yes.

I'm not sure about which instructions you are taking about tbh, but if you are sure you downloaded the 7.x update packs, then you should ignore any references to previous versions...

I'm talking about readme file. I extracted every .zip file so I have many folders now and I'm copying .png from every folder and paste them to main faces folder. I'm doing wrong?

What should I do then, select all .zip files together (megapack + all updates) and then extract option to one folder? Or can I continue with first method?
