Does anyone else think that it can't be good for Southampton to have a manager who can't speak English?

It can't be good for the players who can't talk to their manager without a translator.

Hardly think it matters.

Glaswegians can't speak English either, and they seem to do alright as managers.

I just think speaking English should be one of the priorities for finding an English manager. He won't be able to give team talks, instruct his players himself or anything. I'd think of it as a huge disadvantage.

Fairly certain he just uses the translator for public appearances. I remember him giving Ricky Lambert instructions on his own (presumably not in Spanish) at the start of his first game.
