Founded in 1886 as a munition workers' team from Woolwich, Arsenal have since become one of the biggest and most successful clubs in English football.
The Gunners have been crowned league champions 13 times, placing them third on the all-time list behind Manchester United (20) and Liverpool (19).
However, the Premier League title has eluded them in recent years, with their success in 2003/04the last time they lifted the prestigious trophy.
Biggest Rivals
Arsenal’s main rivals are Tottenham Hotspur, with just four miles separating their two stadiums in north London.

Arsenal have established formal links with three clubs - ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast), Colorado Rapids (United States) and Inverness Caledonian Thistle (Scotland).
Short-Term Goals
Having finished runners-up behind Manchester City in 2022/23, Arsenal’s primary short-term aim in FM24 is overhauling the reigning champions.
Making progress in the Champions League and winning one of the domestic cups would also help to crown a successful first season with the Gunners.
Long-Term Challenge
Arsenal enjoyed a sustained period of success under Arsene Wenger, winning the Premier League three times and the FA Cup on seven occasions.
Domestic success each season is the long-term goal for the club along with becoming a dominant force in the Champions League.
Current Squad
While Arsenal have a relatively strong squad in FM24, there are some areas which need improvement if the club is to win the title.
Signing a top-class left-back and playmaking midfielder would be a good place to start and should be achievable during the first transfer window.
The Gunners also need a prolific goalscorer, although the right training regime could bring out the best in Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus.
Possible Transfer Targets
Ferdi Kadıoglu (Fenerbahce - DR, DL, WBR, WBL) – Kadioglu would be a value-for-money option who would offer more tactical flexibility to Arsenal.
Adam Wharton (Blackburn Rovers - DM, MC) – Despite splashing the cash on Declan Rice, the Gunners need a midfielder who can dictate the tempo. Wharton fits the bill.
Roony Bardghji (FC Copenhagen – AMR) – The Danish club will drive a hard bargain for the teenager, but he is well worth pursuing given his talent.
Marcos Leonardo (Benfica – AML, ST) – The Brazilian forward is a little rough around the edges but could be moulded into a standout performer for Arsenal.
