@HJN030, I'm just not sure how many of these are improvements, considering plenty have excellent, recent cuts in the megapack already, without the reflected light on their face like that from this photoshoot. I'll have a look at them all nonetheless, of course, but do keep in mind in the future that we don't consider a newer image to be automatically an improvement since we also take quality of source and cut into consideration.

Just because a source image is more recent than that in the MP does not automatically mean it's an improvement. It's better to have a slightly older image in the MP if it is of better quality. Ask yourself, is it really an improvement to the existing MP image? If it's the same face and hairstyle with just this season's new kit, it's probably just an alternative.

@mons Okay. I agree with your comment, but I would like to point out that my images are of high quality. Compared to many other images, I have made sure that the faces are straight and the collars are not too high. This is often the case, and it makes it look like the players have very short necks, which looks very unnatural.

Hi guys, I have fixed the white stripe at the top of the cut-out faces. I extracted one face from the game with the UABE-tool. And then I saw that the picture has a transparant bar at the bottom. Now I added a transparent bar of 6 pixels at the bottom of my own cut-out. It worked. Additionally, the size of the SI player pictures is 256-256.

Hello, does anyone know how to fix this? The faces in FM26 look much lower in quality, with a white line above the head and a white outline around many players.

Is there already a way to fix this problem? Does anybody know what the reason is of the white stripe above the picture?

Are they really? Both new ones are of a similar good quality to the Kane England cut from the Euros, as far as I can tell at a first glance. Same goes for most of the others which have had recent cuts produced…

If there's a significant change in the way they look, then of course an update is warranted. If the current cut is not of a good quality and can be improved on, ditto.

But cutting new images for the sake of it serves no real purpose, other than increasing my workload to check them again…

@mons I don't want to increase your workload. In my opinion, several cuts from my facepack of the Bayern squad are of better quality. For example, take a look at the cut of Pavlovic. Another argument is that my cuts are more aligned with your own guidelines. Lastly, my pack contains official pictures from the Bundesliga, which provide FM25 with a proper interface that matches this current season. I think you and I have the same mission. Good luck, and thank you for all the work you do.

@HJN030 Unless I'm mistaken, you had to use an AI image enlarging tool on these cuts, which is to be avoided. Using an AI image enlarger just “guesses” what certain pixels should look like when you make the image larger, and the result looks blurry/out of focus on certain details, with unrealistically smoothened skin, and unnatural looking hair/beard/eye/teeth details.

The 500x500 Premier League sources aren't the biggest, especially since they are for players which have essentially identical cuts already, mostly from very recently. As far as I'm concerned, hardly any of these will actually be considered as improvements.

Moreover, you'd expect HQ cuts for such a high-profile team to be available soon, which makes it even less ideal to cut such low-quality source images.

@mons It is indeed correct that I used AI. However, I carefully reviewed and compared the result. Additionally, I checked the cutout and made further adjustments. I only noticed a bit of snow at the top of the image of Nwaneri, which I still need to remove. I consider it as temporary; when larger source images become available, I will use those.

Thanks @mons, I will add less saturation in the future. In this case I did not edit the photos myself, but this was already the case. I saw that it has been adjusted in the update.

I used this method but there is a problem. Some clubs kits (2d and 3d) are in this restrected_folder (marseille for exemple). If you deleted the restricted folder, you won't be able to see the correct kits even if you place fc12 kits. You'll get the generic kits…

The other option is the opposite way: copy the default kits in the the restricted folder. That works also for me.

I found the solution. You need the Resource Archiver. Extract the graphics.fmf (which you can found in the football manager 2024\data\game folder). Delete the _restricted_ folder, or (if you want to keep it) place the default 2d kits, shorts and socks in the _restricted_ folder. And than rebuild the archive.

Not bad @HJN030 but (a) the source you've cut him from was taken at the beginning of the season and therefore the current cut is more recent and (b) the reflected lighting on his face makes it less suitable anyway.

@mons I agree. It is from the beginning from the season, but I prefer the official Premier League style instead of other sources.
