Anyone know when the Premiership tv fixtures get announced? Chelsea-Hull tickets where meant to go on sale July 8th but not anymore and they are announcing when they will go on sale once tv games have been announced and dont wanna miss the tickets

I think the TV games for the Prem are confirmed on Monday. Football League's were confirmed this week, in any case.

I'm guessing they'll wear it against Arsenal, Stoke, Southampton and Sunderland. Seems like the sort of teams it will be right against.

Meanwhile, Fulham home:

I'm guessing Damien Duff - not a fan.

I think it has more to do with the amount of money the respective owners are willing to invest.

True. Our owner maybe loaded but isn't exactly arsed about spending his vast array of cash. Or even the vast array cash we get from the Premier League TV deal.

Scratch that - Kone was Sports Direct News talking balls again.

I find it bizarre that Southampton seem to have more ambition than us.

Haha that is terrible. A 3rd kit when we're not in Europe though?

For teams that wear red & white (Stoke, Sunderland, technically Southampton) I guess.

The shirt on it's own could work but the shorts and the odd socks are just too much.

We may well have strengthened in January but we're still weak in some key areas, and they need bolstering.

One of those is still attack. Apparently a deal is in place for Arouna Kone.

Coventry City have officially left the Ricoh Arena and are planning on groundsharing with Northampton Town, who play 34 miles from their home stadium and have a stadium 3,000 less than the CCFC average attendance.

I have a CCFC fan in my uni class and he is really fucked off with this plan. But it does seem stupid, not least given the people who own the Ricoh offered to allow them to play rent-free next season.

So Perch is in the Europa next season and we aren't? Disappointed to lose him

Exactly right.

It seems like we're already being left behind on transfer targets, which seems to be a worrying reprise of last year's mistakes - with or without the Gallic invasion of January.

Club confirmation:

Newcastle United defender James Perch has joined Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the FA Cup-winning Latics, who were relegated to the Championship at the end of last season.

Perch signed for Newcastle in July 2010 from boyhood club Nottingham Forest and made 81 appearances during his three-year spell on Tyneside.

Deployed in a number of positions across defence and midfield, he represented the Magpies in the Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup, scoring once - against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Boxing Day last season.

I thought Bony was Swansea-bound?

I think both have made bids but it all depends on who you read, given the amount of contradictory rumours currently flying around at breakneck speed.

Aubameyang is off to Dortmund.

Tbf, it would be a hell of a decision to turn them down for us at the moment. Unfortunately. But surely we can outbid West Ham for Wilfried Bony - I mean, they already bought one of our fucking targets.

Aye, Dan Gosling and Amilfantano should be leaving before he does.

Perch is quality.

Apparently both of them and Mehdi Abeid are put on the out list as well, along with Williamson, Shola and Obertan.

Much as some of these players could be got shot of, where are we looking for new ones?

Spain were absolute bollocks in that game. Amazing to see them play so badly, like a throwback to pretty much all international tournaments before Euro 2008.

James Perch is apparently off to Wigan for £700K.

I'd actually be quite disappointed if he moved - he's a good little back-up player to have. Plus it likely means the fairly useless Jonas will still be around.

Adidas are lazy but at least they change their designs more frequently then, say, Puma, who have been using something like this design for teams the world over for the past 3 seasons (this is Sheffield Wednesday's away strip, replete with gold badge)

Fair enough if Adidas are going to do that but the fact clubs then charge £40/£50 for the jerseys when you can buy the plain version of the jersey for £20 is a joke, granted thats probably down to the clubs but still.

I'm pretty sure the extra cost of a full price football shirt is as much the financial charges of the club and/or whoever sells the shirt. It is pretty fucking cheeky of them to do so but I daresay that is the economics of it all.

I think its also as much as that they now are the kit makers for almost half the Premier League and several lower league teams. As a result such template overuse is more common knowledge because more teams wear their gear, so it's more widely noticed. But then I think every kit maker does it - Puma are pretty bad at it, although everyone else is in on it.

I remember in the mid-2000s we were the only team wearing adidas kits in the UK so it wasn't really as debated, although the template was used for other sides abroad.

Meanwhile, Blackburn kit (apparently the blue and white were this way round before they were flipped to the more-known form in the 50s)

Fulham kit will be the same as the Schalke kit by the looks of it

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/h5sP44waYVfYPWGcG0SG630MYv71baQNqnEy2w6W.jpg

It'll basically be that but with adidas inside the black V and of course the relevant badge changing.

Southampton's kits are good, but they just don't feel like a Southampton kit as there's no stripes. Apparently their chairman is not a fan of the stripes, hence the absence.
By Dutton | Permalink | On 28 June 2013 - 14:02 PM
Southampton and Swansea kits are identical just different colours.

If you flip the colours on the Southampton change kit and change the relevant badges, you'll get what I think the Fulham home kit will be judging by this promo photo:

Yes it is a bit of a "are they serious?!?" advertising slogan. Still better than We Come Here Not To Win though.

The actual sponsor makes the away shirt look even worse.

Meanwhile, this earlier leak has been confirmed as Southampton's new home shirt. Not that it's any good:

Marseille fans have reacted well to rumours we bid £14M for Gignac:
“I would give him a piggyback to Newcastle”

“Oh piss off! Somebody offering £14m for Gignac! My fucking god, sell sell sell”

“Great if we can replace Gignac, bring in one from abroad”

“If you read this Gignac, thank you for last season but not anything before. With your salary and predictable game you have your limits, you can go. England is cool, you have a big salary and will move to a club of your heart”

“You and me both amazed if they offer £14m”

“This is serious, £14m for Gignac?”

“I want players who are highly motivated like Gignac, who pour their soul into the club”

“If you take away his (Gignac’s) goals then his contribution to the team is close to nothing, I hate players like him”

“He scored 13 goals with non-existent wingers, plus he was injured for two months. Without injuries he would have scored over 15 goals and like I say, doing it without wingers”

“Gignac has had a good season but £14m…must sell!! His first two seasons were chaotic and if we refuse £14m then we will look like fools when he leaves for £2m/£3m”

What is the point of all those neon DNA helixes?

And yes, the old crest actually would have looked quite good on it, whereas the new crest still looks shit.

Meanwhile I've seen an almost-fully revealed teaser for Swansea's kits and I think they've dropped a bollock going for a purple and yellow away kit. Bluergh.

The other main speculation atm is that Ashley could sell up if somebody meets his £267M asking price.
