There's a claim it's Andre-Pierre Gignac, but I dunno who it's likely to be.

This shirt could've been good but it is ruined by the awful-looking sponsor.

World War Z

This felt like 2 films in one. The first two thirds were quite a good film despite the lack of blood. The final third felt like it came from a shitter and lazier film, and I didn't like it.

If they're doing a sequel - which they almost certainly are - they need to work on making sure it feels like one movie, and making better use of its zombies.

didnt he take over from Kinnear? so essentially it was Kinnear that got you guys relegated anyway as Shearer only had about 8 games didnt he?
Utter prick

If any manager was to blame, then it was Chris Hughton and Colin Calderwood, who won 1 game in 2 caretaker spells - and that one was the West Brom game where Kinnear had picked the team anyway. Though it's a better argument that Dennis Wise dropped us in it by being there in the first place, leading to the destabilising resignation of Keegan.

He has apologised for offending supporters by claiming he's more intelligent than them.

If he'd just said this and left it at that, we might be getting somewhere. All the rest does not help though.

Lots of our fans want Ashley to justify his decision to appoint JFK but, thinking about it, when was the last time he actually said anything about the club in public?

Joe Kinnear has pulled out the deal to sign Douglas which was supposed to be wrapped up today on a free transfer.

Era of incompetence begins....

One newspaper is saying that this move led to Llambias resigning and Graham Carr considering his position.

It could well be speculation and there's a chance that it is given there's nothing cited. But by the same token, the way things work at this damn club means it's probably true. After a while it all feels like a massive pile-on on nauseating lunacy.

I can't wait to see who JFK tries backseat selecting for Pardew.

First game of the season - Man City away. Oh joy.

Saying that, we follow it up with West Ham at home, Fulham at home, Villa away and Hull at home - all of them are winnable.

There's a strange one in this leak - Liverpool accidentally put one on their website claiming their first match is away at Hull, but in this other leak it claims Hull's first game is at Arsenal.

Bet it's neither of these.

It wouldn't be constructive dismissal. Pardew's role is the same as it was. Basically Llambias' job has been split in two, with Kinnear taking over the football side of things. and Llambias focusing on the other aspects. It makes no sense to get rid off a member of staff, by appointing another member of staff.

I suppose it would only veer into this territory if Kinnear picks the team for the odd game, or tells them how to play, or does what Wise reportedly did and make no attempt to sign the players the manager actually wanted.

The Football League have confirmed the following 6 opening weekend fixtures to tie in with it's 125th year anniversary:
Championship
Burnley v Bolton Wanderers
Derby County v Blackburn Rovers

League 1
Preston North End v Wolves
Sheffield United v Notts County

League 2
Newport County v Accrington Stanley
Rochdale v Hartlepool United

These games apparently use either founder members or games of historical significance (i.e. Newport)

If this is a ploy to get rid of Pardew without paying his severance package, it's brilliant.

Now for Kinnear to have another heart attack...

It's not that good a ploy - Ashley has already paid Keegan £2M damages for constructive dismissal after the Dennis Wise fiasco, although he got away with paying less than his contract was worth in 2009 due to some clause. If Pardew leaves, he'll probably sue and get his entire 7 year deal in the post. Plus more stuff about how the club "habitually lies to fans". Again.
