BR.
And once again the first thing Shola does is to have a do at his fellow supporters rather than the bizarre decision making of people in power at the club.

All in the first fifty or so posts. There's about 1000.
It's a behind the scene change. I doubt Kinnear will be doing much anyway. I would take anything he says with a massive pinch of salt.

And I don't like Llambias, but I have no idea if he's good at his job or not. And he's quite cheap. I'm not quite sure why Kinnear has been appointed (mate of Ashleys I'm guessing), but on the bright side, if he is working with Llambias, it means there will be a footballing person working with Llambias. And if things go badly at least he will take the pressure off the team a bit.
Current regime is miles better than Sheppard imo.

Sacking Chris Hughton/appointing Joe Kinnear/appointing Alan Shearer - all poor Managerial decisions.
Lack of reinvestment in the squad last summer - Poor transfer decisions.
Add to that the almost bi-monthly PR disaster....
As an owner of a business goes, yeah he's pretty good. But he hasn't got a clue about how to run a football club.
Shola
Ashley was a disaster for the first couple of years, but has got his act together since then. Sacking Hughton is the only real clanger since then. I'd love Hughton back at some point.
But that is nowhere near as bad as sacking Robson and getting in Souness. And Ashley isn't even in the same league as Shepherd for PR disasters.
Last May, all the fans were saying that the priority was keeping HBA, Cisse, Tiote, Cabaye etc. Ashley kept them and only allowed a couple of fringe players to leave and signed a Dutch international. I really don't think not strengthening the team was a mistake.

But Ashley is little better. His first few years were awful and, while he has improved a little - especially financially - he still has an impressive skill at fuck-uppery.
This appointment however feels like we've failed to learn from our history. As well as Kinnear returning, it's a return to a Director of Football appointed while the manager wasn't looking. It's like the set up to the relegation campaign, and that ended well.
Director of Football is a pointless job anyway. Surely manager and scout are better placed to do the fucking transfers.

Ashley is doing well at the club and while the decisions are odd they normally work out, don't they?
Poe
Talking about Joe Kinnear's hairstyle.
And in the season before last they did, apart from that - no, not really.

Nothing that wrong with interview imo. Bigged himself up, but you'd expect that. Some excellent pronunciations as well

How on earth do you make the jump to Yohan Kebab?

I hope his duties include doing the team announcements.
Still can't work out why Kinnear signed Tim Krul for Newcastle, before Kinnear had any association with Newcastle. And I'm very impressed he can remember James Perch from his previous spell at the club, he didn't sign for 18 months after Kinnear left.
I hope I can give him the benefit of the doubt, and he is talking about Perch at Forest and maybe he recommended the club focus on Krul or something.

Oy vey.

What a joke.

He said he made a profit on Robbie Earle as well. That's the Robbie Earle who retired while at Wimbledon, the year after Kinnear left. He said he got John Hartson on a free when he was at Wimbledon with no money. John Hartson went to Wimbledon for a club record £7.5m. He said he signed Tom Krul when he was 15. Tim Krul signed when he was 18 and long before Kinnear had been involved with the club. Also he said he had never been relegated

Ha those are legitimate points. - Although I think some have been exaggerated.
But the media seem to have deemed the real story is an old man struggles to pronounce names properly. Ironic considering half of them are probably mispronounced in England anyway. And the media can't even pronounce the name of the club properly.
