So that's Palace down

Well at the very least should be an easy 3 points for the Mags on Saturday.
It's ridiculous to be saying teams are as good as down with just two games played.

In fairness I said that about QPR after day one of 2012-13 and got proved right. But yes - still 36 games to go and plenty of shaking about to go yet.

James Chester sent off after 15 mins. Hull have made so many silly mistakes at the start of this game

Why are Sky showing this?

Surely Spurs-QPR made more sense for premise, and for potential to laugh at Harry Redknapp getting mullered.

Magath's being admirable by giving youth a chance but they clearly need a bit more experience/ready made quality.

Its one thing to give youth a chance but letting 26 players go is a bit of a dumb move, as is keeping the likes of Amorabieta and Byran Ruiz but then leaving them out.

Little wonder Magath is already being rumoured for early dismissal.

Also being rumoured for early dismissal is Hockaday at Leeds... have no idea why that surprises me given Cellino's track record of dismissals but that one feels more than excessively early.

Fuck me Fulham are fucking dire. Even in FLS snapshot form, they looked absolutely useless, and Derby's 5th goal was a heroically shit goal to concede.

Well, we still need a new striker. If this rumour one may come in this week is true then that'll be just dandy but we could've won this game with one. SdJ did look good in his cameo though.

I think its why everyone lost their shit when Pardew headbutted David Meyler back in March - that was a hilariously bad example to set to aspiring managers.

Admittedly I felt at the time - and still do - that the headbutt was exaggerated, but I can see why people thought "What a fucking moron".

Tiote rumoured to be away to Lokomotiv Moscow for £8m - A ludicrous fee if true,

Rumoured asking price is £14M, with a first bid of £8M rejected.

I'm in two minds if LM actually did bid that (or Arsenal as is currently also being rumoured)... maybe we should sell and maybe we shouldn't.

Makes you think though - if Tan was sitting on this mix of information of alleged industrial scale money wasting and offensive e-mails, why not release them when Mackay was fired in the first place? At the very least it can't have been any worse than being a fanbase vitriol target from the Moody sacking until now.

Would Richards really offer that much of an improvement on (the admittedly poorly developed) Steven Taylor?

Dzeko assisting Silva for 1st goal of season against Newcastle. Sounds familiar

Fucking amazing goal too.

Least we don't have players on strike, getting stupid sendings off or seeming to not care this time around.

We've been quite good so far, but need some more pace into the box. Also Riviere needs to relax a bit - seems to snap a few times when in good places.

City's team selection helps my FPL - had Sagna in my starting XI and James Chester on the bench. That should be an extra 15 points.

Just looking back, didn't realise FIFA and PES released the 2014 versions on the PS2.

I bought FIFA 12 on PS2. Bad idea - was just FIFA 07 with updated kits.

If a PS4 is acquired then I'll buy this.

I didn't think Man Utd at present were a top 4 side and have felt before the campaign that the best they can hope for this year is 5th. LvG maybe a good manager but the suffocatingly extensive hype shadows the fact the team is full of complete cack.

Such an opening day result certainly helps puncture the hype. But then they always needed 3/4 new players at least, especially in defence.

Yeah I did too. I was shocked when I saw there starting 11

At the very least, Amorabieta and Ruiz are still there so I thought they might appear and actually play well in this tier but nope.

I hadn't heard of a lot of their starting 11... maybe I need to research outside England more.
Resigned, that's why. The board didn't stop him, but he walked.

Fair enough. Still seems incredibly early for such a move.

I've seen the fact "Norwich sacked Bryan Gunn after 1 game in 2010 and look how that turned out" but are Huddersfield realistically anywhere near promotion?

I had no idea Fulham had got rid of 26 players in the off season. Thought they still had a core squad of players from last season still there.
