Dzeko assisting Silva for 1st goal of season against Newcastle. Sounds familiar

Fucking amazing goal too.

Least we don't have players on strike, getting stupid sendings off or seeming to not care this time around.

We've been quite good so far, but need some more pace into the box. Also Riviere needs to relax a bit - seems to snap a few times when in good places.

Good bit of defending by Fernando. For a second I thought that was in for Ayoze.

That replay showed just how close it was!

Dzeko is so underrated it's criminal.

Not sure about that.

He was quality today though.

Good performance. Colback was excellent, and Janmaat, Riviere and Cabella all looked good. Quite nice to have Perez, Aarons and Obertan to come on with real pace. Quite a large attendance considering everyone cancelled their season tickets.

Pass of the weekend. Dzeko backheel for Silva or Henderson through ball to Sterling?

How the fuck has Arfield scored a Premier League goal? I remember watching him in League One and thinking he wasn't good enough at that level.

Costa dive was dodgy. To me it was a dive cos he dragged his foot looking for contact.

For fucks sake. The only reassuring thing is that we have Özil whose just as good as Cesc, and if we didn't have him; Cesc would be back at Arsenal.

That is a very accurate assessment of Burnley.

Wouldn't really call it a dive. He lift the ball in the air and had both feet off the ground when contact was made, given he did look for contact, it was there. To me, definitely not a yellow card and either had to be called a penalty or play on, either choice would be valid.

Cesc though.

That chant is as cringeworthy now as it was in like 2011 when it began.

Although in this case it is very accurate.

I was there and can agree that it is a shit hole. Nothing like a 5 hour train journey each way to get there and home at 5am. The Gerrard slipping song and Rodgers fucking a tranny one was probably most sung

The yellow incident was definitely a penalty - he didn't even leave his leg in looking for it.

He did though, he dragged his right leg waiting for contact

6 of the German U21 squad that won the 2009 World Cup, won the real cup. (Ozil, Khedira, Howedes, Boateng, Hummels, Neuer) And Schmelzer wold have went if fit.

8 of the England squad that got beat in the final have played for Sunderland. (Cattemole, Johnson, Rodwell, Fraizer Campbell, Gardner, Plus Onuoha and Rose on loan)

Gibbs, Walcott, Hart and Milner are the only players in that squad who I reckon have actually reached a high level.
