Never a red card.

Its bizarre - he basically brushes the top of his head. I can see why Webb may have thought it was an elbow given the replay from his angle, but its still a dumb decision.

One of Cellino's lawyers sacked him but had no authorities to do so, so he's still in charge, that's how I understood it

Reportedly, that's what happened, which seems an absurd way to go out business.

In one of the articles I've seen, it said he's received two suspended jail terms for false accounting and for deceiving money out of the EU and the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, and is on trial for embezzlement in stadium construction. Given the Football League rules state those with criminal convictions can't own clubs, appointing him can only cause even more problems.

I thought our club was in a mess but fucking hell.

Think yourself lucky.

We had RVP, Mata and Rooney on the pitch today. Easily 3 of the best corner takers in the club, if not the league. So who took them? Ashley Young of course.

That's just stupid. How on earth does that work?
Moyes: I don't know what we have to do to win

Fuck me.

And I thought we were in a tailspin. Fucking hell.

My mistake - the graph going round on Twitter as showing NUFC long passes was the graph showing all failed passes, although most of the passes on this graph were longer and more direct than passing has been recently.

But it doesn't really matter about incorrectly captioned Tweets or fans behaving like twats. We played like shit and got what we deserved, and that's the end of the discussion.

Incidentally, talking of Santon, why is he taking set-pieces?

The sense of entitlement from Newcastle fans is beyond belief. A lot of them genuinely seem to believe Newcastle are entitled to be a lot better off than they are. A god given right to be challenging for the title every season.

Started properly agitating at about 10 minutes because Santon had a shite shot. Sunderland fans got right behind their team. Applauding effort and good ideas and encouraging the team. Newcastle fans were right on the backs. And complaining whenever anything is less than perfect. Absolute prats who are holding the side back.

I saw a stat saying that at one point in the second half we had played 194 long passes and none of them had come off. When you're not even good at playing le hoofball, that is a huge tactical problem and hardly one to get the fans motivated, not least when allied to a pathetic display. The Sunderland fans had plenty of effort and good ideas to applaud. We on the other hand had nothing resembling either of those two qualities to cheer until 2-0, and by that point, it never looked enough to rectify the situation.

Negative atmosphere is never going to help but if we're going to be shit and hand teams easy victories, then what is the fucking point.

Link?

Fans were fucking awful today. Feels like the vast majority are absolute pricks of the highest order.

It was in his quotes on BBC Radio Newcastle. Not sure if iPlayer carries local radio shows, and not sure if I care enough to look either.

By and large, there seems to be a toxic atmosphere everywhere from those at games and those who watch from home. Its not quite as bad as the shit reenactment of Grand Theft Auto after last season's derby, but still exceptionally far from positive. Though its not as if the club is giving them reasons to be cheerful right now, both before and after this castrafuck.

Pardew blaming the fans. Because of course, the fans pick the team, coach them, tell them where to play and spend mot of their working relationship with them.

Dick.

Nigel De Jong is awesome.

He's a glorified thug.

Saying that, on the evidence of today's catastrofuck, he'd probably walk into the team.

I really feel like the fact Tan is a dick has masked the fact that Mackay wasn't exactly doing a great job.

Did he deserve to go? I doubt it, but its not like they were safe in mid table.

There's a hefty culture down the bottom of dispensing when you're in the shit. Sometimes it works, like it seems to do at Palace and Sunderland. But sometimes it creates instability and can lead to trouble. I'm not sure if Mackay would've kept them up but it would have helped him and the players to have not had Tan and the manager feuding for months.

Didn't they sign Roger Johnson on loan?

I still don't think Cardiff will survive - the boat got rocked way too much when Mackay was dismissed. But who knows, certainly in a relegation battle as tight as the current one.

C'mon really, you're believing ITK's know?

Although I do like the idea Kinnear is the finance guy at the club.

I don't think the ITK I found is true, but some of the stuff wouldn't surprise if it was true. We won't know for sure because the club's social media communication is largely to plug cheap merchandise and Kings of Leon gigs, while a journalist who printed the story would almost certainly get banned because that's what the club do.

It does seem staggering we haven't thought through the idea of finding and making progress to acquire a replacement for Cabaye when the backroom team knew he was going to leave this month. They could have at least made an effort to find somebody to bring in before Cabaye buggered off.

Its even depressing we hadn't even put up the energy to find panic buys, or the fact Kinnear was the last permanent signing of any kind in the football side of the club.

Mirror saying we did accept the bid from Trabzonspor for Cisse but he turned it down because he wants to decide his future in the summer.

Guess that's it for our interest.

I think he/she has said they are a fan getting info from a club source.

But who knows - could be true, could be bollocks. Some of those wouldn't surprise me given the fairly hideous nature of our transfer 'policy'.

Sky say it was £8.5M and (I think) Lyon value him at £12-13M so I think there's still a way to go.

What a fucking joke.

EDIT: Saying that, it was amusing that Norwich fans' general reaction is "Damn Johnson's not banned"
