What are the chances of that happening?

It's not exactly a comfortable time for the club atm - the mix of unpopular owner and DoF, and manager in reduced standing is hardly potential for greatness. But then its tricky to know when game one is only 6 minutes old - some pundits had us as going down at the start of the 2011-12 season.
1-0 after six minutes. Ah fuck.

There were people saying that he would use it as an excuse at lunchtime when the reports started. He has also said he was dropped because of the bid.
Jonas Gutierrez in CM has the hallmarks of a bad idea. Admittedly it worked in 2011-12 when he played in more of a central role, but a CM of Jonas and Tiote on their own is not a good idea. Although saying that, Sky are saying Sissoko is playing in a midfield 3 with Tiote and Jonas.
Every club has their agitated elements to their fanbase anyway.

He was.
Pardew said the bid is the reason he's not playing.

He got through 45 against Braga perfectly fine and hadn't been a doubt. A lot of fans think Arsenal's antics have been a contributor, which wouldn't be a surprise.
No doubt Pardew's already got it ready as his excuse for a post-mauling interview, rather than playing everyone in the wrong position. Again.
FURTHER EDIT: Cabaye apparently is not even at the stadium.

NUFC: Krul - Debuchy, Coloccini, S. Taylor, Yanga-Mbiwa - Tiote, Jonas - Ben Arfa, Sissoko, Gouffran - Cisse
I get the feeling we are going to be killed.

Given the bid has already been rejected as "derisory" by the Toon - apparently you bid £10-12, which is about half what we value him at - its probably not.

It'd be annoying if we sold him but frankly, until its said bid accepted, I'd be surprised. Besides, he's the wrong midfielder for Arsenal - they need a defensive midfielder rather than a playmaker. They can have Tiote.
#96212 Transfer Rumours 2013/14

Whoever at Man U was handling the negotiations is a bit dim - there's no way the expiration of Fellaini's £23.5M would mean Everton would suddenly lower his valuation, while the rejected £12M bid for Baines also means Everton would want a wee bit more cash for their troubles.

I think the worse part was when Gouffran got subbed off for Shola with Sissoko shoved out wide while Shola did nothing/little up front.

Their owners must be loaded - they spent something like £30-40M last season and have now spent £36.5M in this'un (£15 for Osvaldo, £12.5 for Wanayama, £9 for Lovren) in this one.

Not sure where this came from but apparently we were linked with him as well.
Don't see that happening, mind - we don't spend more than £10M on a player and our director of football is more likely to sign Will.I.Am instead.

Cabaye playing behind Tiote didn't work - though an awful year for Tiote may not have helped. Booting it long to Cisse didn't work either and neither did shifting him out wide. Injuries or not to other wingers he looked pretty hopeless in that position.
Who knows though. It is possible to figure out a system with the squad but it seems determined to elude us.

A fair few players are played in the wrong places though - Cabaye too deep, Sissoko and Cisse as wingers, Jonas and Shola in the first 11.

1 shot on target in the whole game... I remember Blackburn managed 0 shots on target at Spurs in their Premier League relegation season but that's arguably worse.

Some Newcastle fans think we have no ambition not signing him but £70,000-a-week for him is wildly over the top.
Back-up for van Wolfswinkel and Hooper?
Would be an improvement on Becchio I guess.
