Is it the tiny one, or the larger one? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Both, jaja. But I think that you can use the larger one.

Can I have the original URL? That seems to have been put through remove.bg.

This is the original picture. Was taked from a history in Instagram.

Cropped too far from the top of the head and the bottom of the chin. Do you have the original full-size source without the background removed @sergitok16?

Hi Mons, sure!

If a better source image is available without sunglasses, we'll always go for that one to be added to them megapack whenever possible.

You've done some cuts in the past, why not give it a go yourself? ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi!

Yes, I can do it.

However, Javier Wainer became "popular" in the game and social media because of his characteristic photo with the sunglasses. That's why I was wondering if, in case you get a better photo, I can use that one.

Thanks,

Sergio.

More normal image than with sunglasses

Hi!

The image I uploaded was shared by Javier Wainer himself. Is there a possibility of using that one?

Thanks!

As you're still starting out, my suggestion would be to post them in the tutorial and guidelines thread for feedback. This way, once you get some feedback on your cutting technique, you can then upload the final cut to the person's timeline. Doing this will ensure that you avoid uploading images which get rejected time and again because they need further work. This will also help you avoid making the same โ€œmistakesโ€ time and again ๐Ÿ˜‰

My suggestion would also be that you do your first cuts on larger, clearer sources like the one on this timeline. It'll be much easier than if you started with a smaller source like this one. You will then hopefully understand why some of your smaller sources got rejected ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi @mons,

Sorry, but I can't find the tutorial and guidelines thread. Could you please provide me the direction?

Thanks and regards,

Sergio.

@sergitok16, you've been uploading a fair amount of decent sources in the past weeks. Instead of depending on others to do them for you, have you considered trying to cut them yourself?

It's really not hard at all, the learning curve is very gentle and there are free online tools available to help you in cutting sources like this one quickly, easily, for free and to a very good quality.

Have a look at this thread for guidelines for cutters and video tutorials for some more info on what we expect for from our cuts ๐Ÿ‘

I recommend using remove.bg for your cuts. It's a fantastic free online tool which does the heavy lifting for you by removing the background in the source image, leaving you to only rotate, crop and/or nudge the collar upwards. It's tremendously easy to use and provides fantastic quality. With it, you can go from source to cut in a couple of minutes for the vast majority of images.

Here's a couple of videos on how to use it, one when combined with Photoshop and another using photopea.com, which is a free online app so close to Photoshop that it has the same shortcuts, layout and icons ๐Ÿ˜‰ If you don't have Photoshop, photopea.com is the tool I would recommend to use to tweak the draft cut produced by remove.bg. It's more powerful and versatile than GIMP and other similar tools.

Hi @mons.

Thanks for your advice, I will try to make them myself and upload them ready. About what I already uploaded, do you recommend that I try to prepare them myself and upload them again or do I start from the next faces I get and upload?

Best regards,

Sergio.

It's the guy on the left.

@sergitok16, it's not a bad cut, but we prefer it to be cropped much closer to the top of the canvas, leaving only 2-3 pixels above the head. Additionally, take the time to find the best source possible so that the ensuing cut is as good as can be ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi @mons. Yes, it's the guy on the left.

Perfect. I will keep it in mind for next time.

Thanks and regards!
