Had a wee look over at the SI board, judging from the posts on the transfer bug boards, apparently SI agree that the player transfer values are too high, at least as far as a few nations (France was mentioned) are concerned.

Hopefully the values will be more reasonable by the next patch.

Not having played through an entire season yet and I have yet to manage a team with a truly talented free kick taker, but given there is an entirely new match engine, I'd say there is a good chance that there'd be more free kick goals than there was on FM12 and FM11.

How come he's allowed to be called Luis Suarez anyway? He can be Luis Suarez when he has 3 Seria A's, 2 Intercontinental Cups, Two European Cups, a European Championship and a Ballon d'Or. Pretender.

Aye, I read a couple of chapters of the Swedish translation a few years ago, up until the one where Renton and Spud have job interviews. Never finished it though.

This time I read the original, untranslated edition of the book.

I know what you mean, a whole chapter about Genesis...

I'd prefer that over a chapters about "The Worst Toilet in Scotland" or squeezing out the contents of a used tampon into soup.

Man, I've never been as close to throwing up because of something I've read as I was when I went through that chapter about the waitress at the restaurant. Urgh.

Scary to think in the not-too-distant future there won't be a soldier alive who served in WWII.

The last veteran from the first world war who actually served in the trenches died a couple of years ago. Not sure if there is anyone who served in that war in any capacity that is still alive now.
