I'm not happy he's gone, he was a great manager. He lost a lot of good will because he slagged off the club and then tried to put himself in the shop window. As time went on, it became more and more clear that he thought he was bigger than the club. The final straw in the eyes of a lot of the fans was when he said he thought the team didn't get promoted because they'd hit the roof. This is from someone who kept talking about long terms plans and being in the Premier League in x amount of years. It showed him as incredibly dishonest and he lost a lot of favour. There was also an interview with Vicente in the local rag which confirmed a lot of the things people were worried about with him. That he was egocentric, didn't care about his players wellbeing, didn't respect the club or it's fans. This coming from Vicente who has been nothing but a class act since he joined us.

He's being sacked for breach of contract and it's all being dealt with internally. Noone outside the club knows what he's done but it all sounds pretty serious. I think he's a great manager and he's got us playing some great football, but if what's been said is true then he's not someone I really want around the club.

As for the business last night, Talks have been ongoing for the last week and he visited players houses Sunday to give his farewells. He knew and he's used this as an excuse to turn people against the club because he knows the club (a) wouldn't be able to reply to the same kind of audience or with the same impact and (b) couldn't say anything real for legal reasons. If you examine it for any length of time, he looks like a complete weasel but other clubs fans won't do that because why would they care?

Didn't think Brazil played that well really. Hopefully tomorrow's game will be decent. Forza Italia! (Although I'm expecting a Spain victory).

And to think there's some people out there that think penalties are a lottery! 13 out of the 14 taken were placed to perfection. Shame Italy didn't take one of their chances in the first half, or Giaccherini's in extra time but that one was unlucky.

Looking forward to the final anyway.

That was the best 0-0 I've seen for some time. I feel bad for Italy but I hope they can take heart from their performance, especially when considering they lost 4-0 to the same team last year. They wasted far too many chances though.
