#761112 FM24 Real Name Fix File v4.1 [23/05/2024] - DOWNLOAD AND APPLY AGAIN TO FIX ISSUES CAUSED BY NEW UPDATE
TRFC
Just wanted to say, thanks so much for flagging this - I wasn't aware of this update and it sounds like there are some significant fixes in there coming very soon, so you've saved me from starting a game without them in place.
Let's just hope they don't mess up all the mods (especially the Real Name Fix, which I'd be lost without)!
#722228 Stato Skin FM23 Full Release
TRFC
Oh no, I'm so sad to hear this! I've only just got my game sorted in terms of add-ons and after seeing some screenshots of your skin, I really wanted to add it to my game. Would it not be possible to make the download available but with a note that you aren't in a place where you can commit to any further updates? So sad not to be able to use it!
(If not - thank you anyway for all the hard work you obviously put into this skin!)
#711661 FM2023 Licensing and Real Name Fix File v5.0 for FM23.5 [released on 09/05/2023]
TRFC
Thanks so much for this @mons, others have said it but truly I couldn't play FM without your work.
Just a quick note - I was updating all the LNC files and found a few rogue quote characters in each one that the game won't parse correctly, mostly in the Italian sections - if you do a find and replace of “ and ” for " that'll fix it. 🙂
The affected lines are all #'d anyway, so it won't make a difference right now, but thought I'd flag it just so it's fixed in-case it's ever needed!
#682854 FMV Logos for FM23 by FMG - Nearly 80,000 Logos

Thanks so much! Does this exclude the 2022.01 and 2022.02 updates?

Ah that's fantastic, thanks so much. Really appreciate it. 🙂
#682757 FMV Logos for FM23 by FMG - Nearly 80,000 Logos

It appears to be missing - unless I'm missing something! The link from FMG takes me to a link in the SortItOutSI downloads section, but when you click on the 7.7gb file entry, no download link appears in the mirrors list. Any help would be much appreciated!
#682710 DVX Logos for FM24 | 24v2 Update
TRFC
Just wanted to leave a quick note to say, thanks so much for this pack. The quality is absolutely fantastic - it's easy to see how much work has gone into this, and as someone who's a stickler for detail, I'm really grateful for such sterling work. Thank you!
Could someone please be so kind as to hook me up with the certain-missing-club-from-the-north-west-of-England's logos? I'll be your best mate!

Was the file size for this pack ever reduced from almost 15gb? I have a tiny amount of HDD space sadly… Thanks to all involved!

Unfortunately, it seems that the main 2022 release download link for the FMV style badges has been removed, and I'm eager to try and get hold of this (mainly because the white outline makes many badges much more legible on dark backgrounds). Please could this be reuploaded by some kind soul? Thank you!
EDIT: Ah, there's an updated thread for 2022. Sorry! The 2022 download page brought me here!
#622348 FM2021 Licensing and Real Name Fix File v4.0 for FM21.4 [released on 16/03/2021]

How did it work last year? Just trying to wrap my head around whether UWP storage has changed or whether there's another folder somewhere I'm not seeing!
#622345 FM2021 Licensing and Real Name Fix File v4.0 for FM21.4 [released on 16/03/2021]

That's right, sadly.
I did a bit more research last night thinking that there must be a way - mostly looking up what the Flight Simulator modders do. Turns out they can change add-on folder locations in the game's settings, which then allows them to be edited, but while they're in the WindowsApps folders they are completely locked down.
Apparently (from the same research) what appears in the WindowsApps folder “isn't real” anyway - UWP apps are so locked down that they're played in the same way as mounted ISOs, where there is one large central (encrypted) file that contains all game content, which (when the game is installed, or in a sense “mounted”) creates a virtual file structure on the HDD. Which would explain why, even when taking full recursive ownership of the directory, you still can't add, edit or delete files.
It would appear that all you can get to are the Documents files and the skin cache files.

EDIT: Damn, I don't think the Game Pass version can be modded after all after reading this related article to the end, which really sucks: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/cannot-acces-windowsapps-to-delete-edit-save-files.3513262/
ORIGINAL POST (TRY AT YOUR PERIL AS CHANGING PERMISSIONS MAY RESULT IN ISSUES WITH OTHER APPS):
For those interested in installing the licensing fixes in the Game Pass edition... You have to do a bit of hacking around.
Once you've installed the game (you may need to run it first if the FM folder doesn't appear in the next steps), you need to access the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder. (You need to change your Windows folder view settings to allow the viewing of hidden folders and files if you haven't done that already.)
No amount of fiddling with user permissions would let me in, even as an administrator. But then I found this guide: https://www.maketecheasier.com/access-windowsapps-folder-windows-10/
The only thing that worked for me was to download the registry hack that adds an extra to your Windows context menus (there is a file that adds it, and one that removes it again should you wish) - direct link to that here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/j8yk084d4bf1ixy/TakeOwnership.zip?dl=0
After installing the registry hack, I right-clicked on the WindowsApps folder, clicked "Take Ownership", and after a few minutes (it takes a while) it was done.
Then I went into the WindowsApp folder, then the folder in there that starts "SportsInteractive", then "data", and at that point it looks like your standard Steam install folder (go into "database" then "db" to find the folders where you need to install the license fix to).
But. The above lets you see the folders, but doesn't let you delete the folders within each db directory that need to be deleted, nor create new files. You still get an access denied error.
