Are Newcastle actually that negative? I don't rate McClaren but I've never thought Newcastle are that negative.

Sunderland have terminated Adam Johnson's contract, to the surprise of no one.

Sunderland have really handled this awfully. As has the football media.

Derby apparently spent £25m this season. So probably that.

As well as if the higher ups believe they won't get promoted - they might reckon a new guy can give them the jolt to go for it.

Pep's Barcelona achievements, are so understated.

He completely transformed Barcelona, so much so I think people have changed Rijkaard's team in their heads.

the 2006; Valdes, Oleguer, Puyol, Maquez, Van Bronckhorst, Edmilson, Deco, Van Bommel, Giuly, Ronaldinho, Eto'o
In 2009; Valdes, Puyol, Pique, Toure, Sylvinho, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Henry, Eto'o

In 2006 Xavi was left on the bench at the expense of van Bommel and Edmilson, where as in Pep's first season he's united Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets, brought through Pique and created the Barcelona we think of when we think of Barcelona.

Ronaldinho and Deco were great players but far too individualistic and Pep made the tough choices. The idea of success being handed too him is ludicrous.

You also have Pardew who Shola thinks is a 'stand out' manager in the PL.

He's gotten an awful Palace side safe from relegation. They're closer to Man United and European football than the drop zone.

Pochettino and Ranieri are proving to be genuine world class managers this season, I'd argue the next crop this year would be Flores, Koeman, Pardew and Billic. - and maybe Eddie Howe.

He's a victim of massive overachievement this season. Palace player for player aren't exactly a million miles from Norwich or Villa, and Palace have spent relatively little, Bournemouth have spent twice as much, Watford three times as much.

Do you actually burn much calories from excercising? I used to have a Nike running app, and like 6 mile runs never seemed to burn anything too significant?

An absolute non performance from our midfield. Again. Wijnaldum anonymous, Sissoko barely involved, Saivet looks like he doesn't know how to play midfield, and Shelvey somehow worse than all of them put together.

Paul Dummett falling over while midway into the Everton half the main talking point.

Dropped in favour of Rolando Aarons last week. Starts ahead of Mitrovic and Doumbia tonight.

Impressive how Florian Thauvin's spell at Newcastle is currently only his third worst spell at a club - he's 22.

(It's actually possible that it's better than his first Marseilles spell as well)

According to the Secret Footballer, Pulis wants to offload Berahino, and sign players and Pulis/his agent get commission on the deals. He's desperate to cash in now as he'll know he'll get sacked soon. Pearce meanwhile is willing to sell Berahino, but he doesn't want to let Pulis spend the money on 'his' transfers - so is going to wait until the Summer after Pulis is gone.

Pearce is unwilling to sack Pulis as he's worried that doing so would disrupt the squad and possibly put them in trouble.

I normally ignore TSF as it's normally gossip/confirmation bias-y type thing - but it does seem to fit with the 'internal politics' at WBA journalists are hinting at.

We'd get £25m+ for Ox mainly because most people still believe he's a good player with huge potential, baffling to me as he hasn't improved since he's come here.

The market for English players is absurd, just because Newcastle's scouting team is horrific it doesn't mean they should buy shite English players when there's better options abroad

Townsend will definitely be better than Thauvin who cost the same amount of money - and will almost certainly be better than Cabella.

Are you surprised Oxlade-Chamberlain has regressed? Pretty much every Arsenal player has, Wilshere, Walcott and Welbeck all have, as well as the likes of Chambers and Szczesny. Bellerin only became good because he was an accident.

Doesn't seem worse than than the likes of Michail Antonio going for £8m, or Matt Phillips apparently being around for £8m, James Chester for £8m etc. - Probably achieved as much if not more that 'the Ox' at International level - and he would probably go for £25m+

Newcastle got £12m for Debuchy ffs.

Pulis no doubt salivating about all the centre backs's he can sign - then playat full back a few times, before benching them for Craig Dawson.

Well if he can pass the ball five yards, he'll be an improvement on the former winger.

Honestly - I've always liked Townsend. - but he really does seem to get a a hell of a stick from Spurs fans.

I reckon it's weird how everyone was so outraged at Spurs asking for £14m for Townsend, doesn't seem any worse than £7m for Gomis, £12m for Shelvey of £21-£25m we're apparenly quoted for Berahino.

Are people sure Doumbia is quick? He looks very old for a 28 year old.

I agree he's better and if he reaches his potential then he'll be absolutely miles better.

But leaking goals will be the most likely reason Newcastle are relegated. And Mbemba is a sieve at the moment. (And McClaren's not helping either)
