He is terrible. Between him and Boumsong for biggest bombscare Newcastle have had at CB.

He's massively benefited from being seen as anti-Pardew. He was terrible in the air, wasn't physical enough, was error prone, prone to dribbling the ball and losing it, poor at marking. He flopped here and has flopped at Roma. That Everton game he failed to deal with a goal kick. Also got bullied off Frazier Campbell leading to Newcastle getting knocked out of the FA Cup. And he doesn't seem to have any sort of fight in him whatsoever.

I'm not surprised any of Europe's big clubs didn't sign him.

Somehow MYM is viewed as above blame for any of this.

No one who has bought a ticket will boycott.

Shame they won't fuck off permanently, football was a lot funner when there was only 40,000 in the stadium.

You're saying that like that's a bad thing. And not that that made him better than everyone else combined.

Newcastle are awful.

As is the ref. Coming from a nonexistant Sunderland free kick, and a foul by Fletcher.

Drew with Heed today. They are an awful awful team, exactly depicting their manager Gary Hill. We nicked a point in the 95th minute thankfully, having dominated most of the game.

The referee, Mr J Brooks (a premier league linesman) gave the most inept refereeing display I've ever seen. The second worst I've seen happened to be his display when we played Braintree. Totally out of touch and should stick to running the line for those nancys in the prem.

Close.

And Gary Mills is the best manager in the North East who has his side playing the right way, I'll have you know. - According to the Chronicle

Reckon that rise in expenses is due to Kinnear being an expert administrator imo, where missing his financial expertise and unparalleled budgetary supremacy.

Purchasing players doesn't actually affect accounts too much - Players are amortised over the length of a contact - ie a £20m buy with a five year deal, will be a £4m expense, rather than £20m leaving the books immediately.

Now that most PL clubs are profitable, I doubt there will be too much external funding anyway for the time being - especially with FFP coming in. Only stuff like Short giving more short term loans.

Pardew was on Goals on Sunday talking about how the lack of investment in the North East is giving Newcastle a massive disadvantage over some other clubs.

I loved the venue. Thought it made Mania feel completely different from Raw - where as most PPV's don't.

And it made the entrances feel unique imo. I thought every match on the card was good, even if I disliked Bryan/Cena/Show/HHH winning.

Wouldn't it be tax evasion? And people might go to jail?

I don't know how costs went up that much - apparently full accounts aren't out until the end of the week. - Just for comparison Sunderland's expenses went up by £26m. Remy + LDJ's loan fees, + wages, plus a full year of MYM, Gouffran, Sissoko, Haidara & Debuchy's wages (minus Ba's). Will take a chunk.

Isn't it just the College non-profits sides who do that? Where they literally waste millions because they have to?

Journalists are visibly upset that Newcastle's profits are a lot lower than expected.

There are now genuine conspiracy theories floating around now.

And people are genuinely annoyed that Ashley hasn't taken any loan repayments ..... for some reason.

This 'balance sheet Champions' crack would be great, if Newcastle were anywhere near the top (and if profit went on the balance sheet) But yeah, why let facts get in the way of having a moan?

Also the noise coming from Dortmund is that he's staying.

I think the biggest failings have been in the buying players - Anita, Cabella, MYM, De Jong and Riviere, Ferrerya, De Jong, Amalfitano have cost the club most of the budget and haven't really done much. Yet Graham Carr is above criticism for some reason.

HBA basically retiring and Tiote stop playing hasn't helped. And having about 8 injuries at once consistently for 18 months is awful. Should definitely be looked into. Summed up by giving Rangers a bunch of players who can't even get on the pitch.

And whoever is in charge of transfers have let far too many squad players go - Shola, Perch, Jonas, Guthrie, Marveaux, Simpson, Lovenkrands, Routledge. Honestly beginning to fear relegation next year getting rid of Williamson for someone fancier but useless.

idk, I have very little faith in Charnley to correct any of this. And worried about his decisions in the summer.

Absolutely stacked in the mid 90's.

Cole, Fowler, Collymore, Sir Les and Le Tissier barely had England careers - A bit weird we went with Owen so early in hindsight.

Hard to get excited, when you look at the midfield though. Henderson is about the only one I would think seems like an England starting player.

The problem was in the execution rather than the idea - We lost Shola, Remy and De Jong and replaced them with Perez, Riviere and Ferrerya - two of those have flopped so the issue with me is more to do with the guy in charge of buying the wrong players.

Carroll is extraordinary circumstance - Newcastle got offered double what the guy is worth and then brought in Ba and Cisse.

I don't defend 'his' transfer policy, I just cba with the myths - Newcastle have spent over £80m gross over the past 4 years - they've just spent a lot of it badly. Nor do I believe it's 'his' policy. You seem very quiet on why Ashley sanctions expensive signings like Cabella?

Newcastle's starting XI last year was; proof that people prefer transfers to actual football.

Krul, Santon, Taylor, Colo, Debuchy, Tiote, Sissoko, Cabaye, Remy, Ben Arfa, Cisse

And we didn't replace anyone the season we looked like going down. We didn't sell anyone to proceed it. People just merge together bits of history to make their own narrative.

The major problems that year was Cabaye going missing, HBA getting injured, Tiote's form going, Anita and Amalfitano being bad signings and Cisse struggling.
