There's also an exclusive interview with Vicente in our local paper. Try telling someone that 10 years ago... anyway, he's not being given a new contract and he's basically slagging off Gus. Says he's "the worst person I've come across in football". Vicente wanted to move back to Spain because his family were struggling to settle in England, he was told by Gus he could leave then they wouldn't let him. He also apparently never went to see Vicente when he was injured for 4 months and takes the piss out his players and belittles them in training.
He also confirms that Gus refused to do contract negotiations for next season.

There's a different between a false rape claim and some dumb 18 year old getting drunk, getting pumped and going "OMG I WUZ TOTES RAPED".
Do you know what the difference is? Someone who's been raped won't tell anyone and won't go to the police for fear of being judged or to try and forget it ever happened. The later will tell everyone and won't go to the police because they're lying and they'll get found out.
The system works. It's not strict enough, but it works.

They said that it wasn't a great place but it was kind of alright. Quite a few homeless but being out was alright and the hotel was lovely. We did mostly go to the student union though because someone got us in for cheap so I guess that's always going to be nicer than public bars. No worse than a lot of other places I've been though.

Well, we had 15-20 years of people saying AIDs is a disease for gay people and even recently I think most people probably still hold that point of view. Do that enough and people are going to take ownership of it and view it as some sort of club. It's not a widespread thing though obviously and most of it is consentual as far as I'm aware. The only time I've heard of someone getting raped and getting AIDs was a female.

I really don't get it though. Let's establish one thing first, I don't like conservatives. Social conservatives anyway, they have this annoying habit of using politics to disguise their intolerance. I would never even consider voting for them while they have their current attitude because voting for them is basically voting against myself. Not that I have any intention of voting for Labour either but that's a different issue.
The thing is though people voted for Thatcher. Lots of people, it wasn't even really that close. Then she won 2 more elections with the margin widening. Then when she left, people voted for John Major. She did some harsh things, but hard decisions had to be made. The country was fucked when she came into power and she improved the situation. That's why people kept voting for her. I'm not much of a humanities guy, but I am numbers guy and you can't argue with those stats, most people thought she was doing a good job.
I understand that the people who don't think she did a good job are REALLY going to think she didn't do a good job and that's fine. I don't have any issue of that, she did some tough things. But when facebook and whatever else is filled with teenagers who don't even know what she did or why celebrating her death that's just fucking stupid.
