I think I have done this in the last few months too so I don't have the option currently. Just seems like a game flaw that on receiving that amount of cash through prize funds than none is released for the playing budget, like the % of transfer funds received that is made available. I have just got my team to the Champions League and they are still giving me a £6k wage budget ha!

I think I am just going to have to bide my time, take an absolute pummelling and hope I win the league, which is becoming a struggle too due to my small squad and fixture congestion.

I'm looking for some advice. I have the laughable situation whereby somehow i have scraped Lisburn Distillery from the Northern Irish leagues into the Champions League group stages as a part time club and my finances have just gigantically increased from £200k to £13.5m!

I am approaching the end of the transfer window but the team is still part time and as my board increased my budget recently, I only have £250k to spend and i can't seem to increase it! Are there any tips to help get this increased so i can put a squad together fast that won't get beat 10-0 in every game. I've got a group with Liverpool, Ajax and Atletico!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do the ads only work when playing certain clubs/leagues? i am managing in Northern Ireland, have placed all of the files in the Sports Interactive folder as instructed but I still just get the FM generic ads. Any help would be appreciated.

are there any existing Brazil kits out there that anyone is aware of for the current season?

yeah got the Austrian league loaded but no luck so far. Now into November! Can't get a job in the lowest Belgian or Czech league's either

damn one of the few leagues I never loaded!

I can't even get an interview at the lowest level in England!

in FM14 I've started a few Unemployed games now and I find it very hard to get a job. I've got a Sunday League reputation and 30 league's loaded down to the lowest levels.

Is there any way to increase your chance of at least getting an interview?

Last few games



Really pleased with Sarnelli's performances, he scored on his full league debut. Other games were really just trying out some youth and fringe players. The defeat against Forli was disappointing but they were fighting relegation and had to win.

Final League Standings



All in all some great performances and the first piece of silverware
Masson (15 assists), Marconi (18 goals), Jefferson, Sandrinho, Battaglia and Cafasso (12 assists) all important players for us.

More new signings

Signed two more players on pre-contracts. Excited by both, de Cenco scored 18 goals for Monza this season and Lima looks like he will fit in nicely with our tactic.

We also have one more new signing and it's another striker. I took a gamble on this one as I can't afford to fully scout him, however from the stats that are not hidden he looks like he has big potential, he's only 19, just called up to Italy U19 squad and we beat Spezia (just won SerieB) to his signature!

Best of all, he was free on a pre-contract!





We also need to sign a left back and give Taddei a new contract.

We won the league in our first season in charge. As Sir Alex would say "i'm vewy pwoud!





4 League games to go, I will now give some of the youth and fringe players a chance to impress.

can we win the league? Unfortunately, not yet.

A flat game against Savona at home ends in a 1-1 draw. However, a Castiglione draw against Rimini means we only need 1 point to seal the title!

Youth Intake

The only player with any potential is Sarnelli but he looks like he could have a big future. I've offered youth contracts to him to two other players who were very average but the rest are rubbish and will be released.

Some good results again and well done on gaining promotion. We only really need 3points to win the league so ill let some of our cheaper players get some game time to save some cash. Did you make any other signings or contract renewals? Can't wait to play this tonight!

Question - can a players weight fluctuate in football manager depending on fitness? I have a young player wieghing just short of 15stone and i'm wondering if his weight will decreases over time with a high intensity fitness regime.

New Signings on pre-contracts

Jefferson - Agreed to sign permanently with the club from Udinese at end of the season until 2015 after starring whilst currently on loan to us. Managed to knock a bit off his current wage too and will soon earn £2700 p/w


Mario Titone - Will sign in July from Viareggio. He has some good stats and will compete for a place on the left wing as well as giving us another option up front.


Luca Valeriani - Will sign in July from Rimini . At just 21, Luca has got bags of potential and can play as a holding midfielder or in a more attacking role. He will have a big future with us.

Good thing was that many of these players also took massive wage cuts which will do us some good as we are leaking cash.

The only other players I would recommend giving a deal is Taddei though he drives a hard bargain - and so do I! Perhaps Awebos can get him signed. Anyone else I think is either not good enough, getting too old or getting paid more than they are worth.

General

I have stuck with your tactics and more the most past the team is playing very well. Maroni and Masson fit nicely into the tactic as well as Cafasso and Battaglia though I think we can be getting more from Sandrinho in an attacking sense. I'm playing Sandrinho as a defensive playmaker though I played him as a Trequerista using my tactic and he scores goals so perhaps he could be tried up front if Marconi or Godeas get injured or stop scoring.

Next two games



3-0 up at half-time. Lesson learned, don't take the assistant managers advice at a team-talk. The guy is rubbish! Two cheap goals conceded and lucky not to give away a 3rd.



My first defeat and bitterly disappointed in the way we lost. 3-0 down at half-time, two of them absolute howlers from the keeper Zandrini (he has to go!). One he ran to the left touchline and passed the ball to the opponent giving them a tap in. Another he ran out to head the ball (in his own box!! use your f##in hands!) and somehow headed the ball backwards allowing the striker a tap in. I would like Zandrini investigated for match fixing.....dropped!

Emphatic win to go with some silky football. Godeas was immense in this game, the big man grabbing 2 goals and 2 assists.



Struggling a bit on the injury front, although Sandrinho is back fit and Jefferson a game away, Cafasso as been ruled out for 5weeks

Woop Woop!

Didn't get the breaks on the day but we were all over Savona. Game finished 0-0, another game undefeated and another clean sheet away from home so not too downbeat.
Castiglione have closed the gap on us to 4 points.

New contracts accepted by Masson and Cafasso which will keep them both at the club until 2014, hopefully where they may be fighting for a new deal to taste life in Serie B





Hoping to get Marconi and Taddei signed up soon.

Next game up is against 3rd placed Savona, a win increasing our lead over them to 11 points.

First game of the season see's me at home to Casale. We dominated the first half leading 3-0 at half time, however some players switched off in the 2nd half and we let them back into the game with 2 goals. They hit the post near the end but we went up the other end and scored a 4th....with a slide tackle. They all count

Next up is Mantova away.

Mantova 4 - Venezia 4

Once again we raced to a 3 goal lead in the first half then Cafasso got sent off for 2 bookings and we fell apart. They scored twice before half-time then another 2 in the second half. Fortunately the fantastic Sandrinho bagged a hattrick from midfield on his league debut including a late equaliser to make it 4-4. 2points dropped and Cafasso issued a warning!

Hopefully will boost attendances a bit as they are pretty poor at the moment.
