It's a pain but can be done. Go to the team page (https://www.mfc.co.uk/teams/) and open page source in your browser (make sure to check “Line wrap” at the top). Links to the high quality versions of the images should all be here but finding them is tricky as it changes slightly for every team's website. For each player/manager you are looking for their “squadImageKey” link, so for Michael Carrick if you search “michaelcarrick”, find the adjacent squadImageKey link and paste that in place of the numbers and letters from the lower quality images: https://images.webapi.gc.middlesbroughfcservices.co.uk/4c2e65a0-53e5-11ef-ab9b-fd0a5b98e420.jpg

Prefer the studio lighting myself so I'll be cutting from those sources for that reason, apologies for not better communicating to prevent duplicates but also I don't ever want to ask anyone to not request sources in case others would prefer cuts in that style 🙂

Yeah I'm using an upscaler for most 2. Bundesliga teams, but one that add's in a lot more detail than that used for previous year's images. I do see what you mean though, the images do look a little too smooth when scaled back down again. I don't want to over sharpen them as then you're just adding noise rather than detail, but I agree they could be a little sharper so I'll take another look at the last two packs again to try and get the balance right.

Have a look at this post for getting larger images on EFL websites. If the image is still too low resolution after following these steps, then unfortunately that means the image uploaded to the website is too low res to begin with and otherwise there's nothing you can do.

Think Windows doesn't allow forward slashes in filenames whereas Macs do - I've reuploaded the file with a different file name so should work now!
