New Nike EPL Winter Snow Ball

Do the new boards have unique ID's ? If so you need to modify the xml file. Are you saving them as PNG ? If replacing old boards just use the same ID as old ones and overwrite. Failing that I'd need to see the new boards and your xml file.

Do you have the adboard pack ?

Most things are there if you can be bothered to look.

LS Kits are less popular, so maybe not. I'd stick with SS, if I was you.

Like me, if any of you are are suffering from save game errors, this is worth checking. With FM23 I was getting a regular error message saying the game could not be saved. Being the beta version I make a save after every match but it was still annoying to lose any progress, so I decided to investigate. With every new edition of FM I select my save folder from the preferences. which I put on the same drive as the game itself. In previous editions of FM, games and matches were saved automatically to my chosen folder but for some reason FM23 was saving game and match files exclusively to the user\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2023 folder on the Windows drive, instead of transferring them to my folder on the selected drive. This seemed to cause a communication issue, as when I cut and pasted the game and match folders to my preferred folder, the problem was solved.

Regarding the sleeves folder, are they supposed to add automatically to kits or is it something we have to add manually ? Also, do you mean add to kits folder in general or 3d kits folder specifically. I ask because no kits are showing the sleeve badges.

No idea what he means either. Steam would only delete game files, not anything you have created. Double check your Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023/graphics folder to check all your downloads are there. If they are then check “Location” in FM preferences to confirm where your files are stored. if necessary change it.

You can guarantee a few beers from me when the full game is released, regardless of how much or how little the full game skin is enhanced, as it's all but perfect as it is right now. You truly care about your craft and with the “alts” folder, allow some customisation. Equally important, you don't just say “take it or leave it”, as many skinners do, or put a compulsory charge on enhanced skins. Instead, you respond politely to us should we have a query or a suggestion. Skinners come and go but 99.9% of them are not in the same league.  

Yes, it's a direct replacement. What I do is create a zip file of the Summer ball in the ball folder before you replace it with this one, then overwrite the Summer ball. Then make another zip file of this Winter ball. After that it's a simple matter of clicking right on the relevant zip file and select extract here and overwrite when you wish to change. Unfortunately FM has messed up the seasonal ball change process, so this is the easiest method and gives you the control, despite the fact you will, on rare occasions see a plain yellow ball in some matches which is down to Si.

Some of you may have used this guy's audio commentary pack in FM22. Well, he has massively overhauled and re-written the files for FM23. He has spent many years improving this software and It really does add to the immersion in the game for me. So if it's for you, there is a free basic version, or a much advanced pay version for a flexible amount.

It's a common issue with FM. Although it's not particularly demanding to run the graphics maxed out, FM has always been a memory hog, due to all the number crunching. I would suggest 16GB RAM as a minimum if you want FM crash-free.

They've always worked, it was merely the threats from Si that killed the project. I have been using the static and video boards since always. Here's a static board I've made, now that ITV have the rights to EPL football highlights for this season. Just rename it and place it in any teams folder. If not overwriting a board in the same folder you will of course have to modify the xml file for it to show.

I've not noted any issues so far buddy.

Balls, 2d and 3d kits, logos, facepacks etc, all working in FM23. You only have to try without risk of damage, so not sure why you asked, if you're using FM23 ?

Looking good ! Any visual improvements/movements in the match engine will only add to even more immersion.

Agreed mate. Shame though that your team still think they're bigger than the game and FM players, although it's not an issue in reality in FM, unless they start making threats to anyone in the FM community who creates Man Utd content.

I'm looking forward to every new feature and improvement. FM has evolved with every edition. No doubt though that some will swear by a previous version. Well the dinosaurs are extinct, long live FM23 (until FM24).

Yes, it's unfortunate because as you say, FM would not be anywhere near as immersive without third party content but I kind of understand the stance from Si. If they're seen to be turning a blind eye to community licensing alterations, then no doubt those licenses will be under threat or withdrawn. 

For those that don't have the Europa Conference League ball, you need to rename the ball attachment to “uefa conl” and copy and paste the content of this attachment to your balls config file.

I did the Europa League Conference ball some time ago. I can't recall if I uploaded it or not. Give it a go.

Well said buddy. Still too many who beg/demand/criticise without any input from themselves. Those of us who are aware do appreciate and often numerate for the time and skills used to create the additions that make FM far more immersive than the default version from Si.
