How will this update work for the ongoing saves?  Do I have to apply this update for the patch? I see the patch added back the ‘fake’ file.

Confused myself there for a bit. Given you've started a save game already, with an editor data file containing changes for the fields in question, then an lnc entry will not override it. Sorry for not being clear 😢

As I said in my previous post, the folder you're looking in when using the editor isn't the same as the one you've placed the files from this download in. There is no other reason why the game would read them but not the editor. I can't help you with finding folders on your laptop.

It's clear by the fact these files aren't appearing in the editor, as well as the fact that the date of the config.xml is different in the second and third screenshots.

 

 

 

 

All you need to do is to open the City, Club and Stadium Names.lnc file with Notepad, find the respective entries and delete them. It'll be save-game compatible 👍

Yes I deleted the 3 folders which this is also something I do every year. 🙂 

And yes, I'm already trying to understand that something has changed this year. 🙂

Among the fixes:

• Hans-Dieter Flick has been created and appears as the German national team manager
• The Ajax staff is set up in a correct manner
• Media sources are now set up to appear in press conferences
• Gamepass installation instructions added to the main post
• And a few other minor changes as suggested in this thread

 

Now to see how many of these notifications I need to reply to…

I didn't understand exactly what to test. Because after making changes, same as before making changes to the game. Nothing changed. 

 

Btw as I said, this is something I do every year. 

I delete the sponsors in the names of the teams. and somethings like that. 

This is something I do every year. First time I had a problem with FM22.

I put the files right way as I did former fm games. And edited a few details in fm 22 editor, again as I did former fm games. but it didn't show up in the game. Do you know why this happened?

 

I edited "Club Name Changes" file by the way.

I've taken on board most everything, but a fix I did for Flick not appearing is not working properly, so it'll need further testing. Got a couple of other possibilities to resolve it but they may take a bit of time or they may not. Just a heads-up 👍
