But the full Ajax staff won't be save game compatible?

That is their new legal name, as indicated here, which is why I did not modify the current name in the FM database.

If you want to change the name back to the old version, you need to insert the below code into the City, Club and Stadium Names.lnc file:

"CLUB_LONG_NAME_CHANGE" 1513 "FC Steaua Bucharest" ""
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 1513 "Steaua Bucharest" ""
