I've noticed a lot of players leaving on a free after one season that were new signings in the summer of 2024-25? McTominay from Napoli, lots of Ipswich players, Yaser Asprilla of Girona when all are on long-term contracts in real life - there are many others too. Anyone else got this issue?

Thanks for that, with a bit more googling as well I managed to remove the caps and add back the FFP rules from previous seasons instead - works a charm!

Anyone found a way to eliminate the salary caps for these leagues in the editor?

The EFL announced yesterday that the caps were being scrapped so was hoping to get round to it but got no idea where to start!

Hi guys, don't know if you're aware but when doing the English promotions/relegations, when setting the EFL League One back to 24 teams (it was 23 this season because of Bury's unfortunate demise), it disables the Carabao Cup for the first season because it's coded to have 91 teams.

Not sure if there's a way around this in the Advanced Rules but it's just a heads up!

just for users to be aware we are finding issues/bugs with changing a person who has retired as a player who then became a non player and now has come back out of retirement to be a player again- eg Robben IRL is going to be a player at FC Groningen
for the 20/21 season

I have tried to resolve this by using just the pre game editor and it is bugged at the SI end so not a lot can be done at this stage

tried changing him to be a player that was bugged player/non player same result setting up future transfer too all with the same result, did have some joy just putting him directly in their squad but he had no contract in game(even though I set one for 2 years in the editor) and he couldnt get a work permit so not going well
lots of the changes in the editor are showing as failed and some of the ones that worked still dont show up in game

I've tried this with my own database and I had the same issues.

On another note - have you tried tampering with the English leagues for the promotions and relegations? Obviously League One had 23 teams in this season due to Bury's demise but it goes back to 24 next season. However I read somewhere that it's very hard to change it without bugging the game out completely.
