Instead of actually writing up each season or each month like I would usually (which i find, actually puts me off my career and then I lose interest and eventually it disappears of the edge of the map), I have decided to just post up randomly where I am up to in my save.
The target for me is to win every trophy from every league on the original database whilst having as much fun as I can.

This is something I have never experienced before but it was another chance for another trophy in my locker. What a great honour for me.
Despite not being provided with a goalkeeper, we managed to actually turn in a good performance. An extra time win was definitely deserved.

Thanks Johno. That's the plan.
It makes all the difference Simoncoyne. You get your own style across and can bring in your own players.

Thanks itchycoo. Yeah he is a regen, but he is proving to be one of my best players.

END OF SEASON UPDATE
So you are probably wondering if I held onto top spot and whether I won the title....
WE DID.
However we didn't do it as easily as could have hope. We struggled towards the end and it came down to the last game once again. What a surprise. I needed a win and they duly delivered with a 6-0 thrashing.
I won the league by 3 points, but a title is a title and I will take that everyday.
A few more losses than the first half of the season, but still we got a fair amount of wins and overall I'm ecstatic with the form we showed and the performances the players came up with.
Some records for the team:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So last season didn't end in good form but it did give me a chance to see what I had at my disposal and which areas I needed to strengthen. Firstly I bought in a few players to strengthen the midfield area and I was in desperate need of a striker who could score consistently. I managed to get all these deals done early and the highlight of my signings is definitely this guy:
Scorer of 11 goals in 11 games he has scored 2 hat tricks in that time, and has been the star of the team. I hope he continues his form.
Fixtures:
So an unbeaten start was cruelly taken away from me by Rosengard who counter attacked me superbly. That was the only noticeable blemish on a great start to the season. We are scoring lots of goals and encoding few at the back. You can't really get better than that. As you can see Colic has been the one who gets most of my goals but when he doesn't mixture of my attacking midfields consisting of: 'Andersson, Lundberg and Persson' grab a fair few between them. This fantastic start means the table looks a bit like this:
Top by 3 points against the team that I just beat in the last fixture. It's look quite likely that it is only going to be a two horse race for the title and the one that loses out will get promotion anyway. Let's hope the title comes to Falkenberg.

It really was horror form Dan I seemed to have got a pretty decent team.

END OF THE SEASNO
So I only have 4 games to go at the end of the season and to have any chance of winning the league I needed maximum points. As you can see below, this didn't even come close to happening.
2 points out of a possible 12 isn't exactly good form. I'm disappointed but now I can focus on bringing some fresh blood in and mounting a serious title challenge next year. I've actually got a transfer budget to play with.
I ended up down in 6th but I will finish higher than that next year.

So it wasn't long before I had another job interview, and it was in Sweden once again.
Falkenberg play in the Division 1 Södra which was the league in which I had just previously managed in with FC Linköping City. The club information can be viewed below:
The league table is as followed:
Lying 5th with 3 games to go and still an outside chance of winning the league. Let's hope for the results to go our way and for us to win 3 out of 3.
#218628 Tongey's Travels.

So I went through the next 7 games without a win and this left me with no other choice than resign. My team had a ridiculous amount of injuries and the board were getting annoyed with the results, so I decided to end my reign at the helm.
This was a great challenge with FC Linkoping and I hope to find a similar kind of team next.

Wow Itchycoo, thanks for the information. Hopefully I can build them to become a real force in Swedish football to cater for the cities needs. I will hopefully make them proud for you

A horrible 1st Half
So once again we are through the first half of the season and I'm not overly impressed with how my team has performed. For some reason we got switched to the other side of the league so we are playing different teams to last season which has been a pain as I don't know who I should be beating or not. The first half fixtures are as followed:
A lot more losses than draws and wins. Only 3 wins to be precise which is definitely not enough! Hopefully the second half to the season will be a lot more fruitful points wise. Overall I'm not a happy manager at the moment.
The league table looks like this:
I sit 2nd bottom. Not good. It needs to improve otherwise I'll be off.
#218337 Tongey's Travels.
tongey
My thoughts exactly Dan
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coping with Life a League Above.
So we went into the second half of the season looking like we were adapting well to life in the league above. More wins and draws than losses would mean that we would once again be in this league for next season. I bought in a few players in the transfer window to hopefully provide bit more depth for the squad:
Mattias Andersson is a 17 year old striker with huge potential who could play in the Swedish premier division when he's older apparently. I bought him in on a free in hope that he can learn his trade here and pop a few goals in when doing so.
David Anttonen is a 21 year old defensive midfielder who we desperately needed since our current DM got injured and we needed cover for him. He has solid stats for our level and I hope he could provide some stability in front of the back 4.
The league fixtures went like this:
A lot of close games and a lot of varied results. Some good form towards the back end of the season meant that we managed to get some points on the board and climb the table a little bit. The 3-0 against Karslund provided us with momentum to take into the next few games which would be crucial to our effort to survive in the league. 7 points from the last 3 games meant that the league table ended up like this:
We did it. We had survived. A point was good enough in the final game and we finished in 10th position. I'm happy with this and I hope we can kick on next season and mount a title challenge.

Cheers Tommo. It did indeed.

A New Season Update
So preparations are complete for the new season in the league above. Currently I sit 2 leagues beneath the Premier Division in Sweden so it's still a long way to climb but for now I'll focus on this league. Pre season friendlies went ok with a mixed bag of results, a couple of wins and a couple of losses.
The first 12 games went like this:
1 win in the first 8 games didn't look good on the table but a quick turn around in form and then 3 wins out of the next 4 made things look a lot better for me. Obviously the highlight to the opening half of the season was the 10-1 massacre of Anundsjo. I was in shock as each goal went in and we carried on scoring! What a great confidence boost to the team who hadn't exactly been in form before then!
Aim for the next half of the season is to be more clinical up front and take our chances, whilst being a lot more solid at the back. We tend to let a lot of early goals in which kills us off for the rest of the game.
The table looks like this:
Lying in 9th place is something to be proud of for the newly promoted team. I may need to invest in more players to add depth to the squad and the starting line up so that I can hopefully climb the table. Who knows what can happen.

PROMOTION OR TITLE?
So I went into the lsat 8 games with a sniff of winning the title and a better chance of promotion through 2nd place. Will it end with either? Who knew what was to come. The final 8 games went like this:
You can see a lot of green dots on there which is more than I could have asked for. A lot of these wins were against teams around me in the table which was definitely a bonus. We looked good, we scored lots, and we conceded fewer than we have before which all in all turned out to be a great run of form for us. The draw against Motala AIF was a particular result of significance because they were challenging me for the league title so to have won that game would have been nice but a draw was a great result in the end.
It came down to the last game once again in my career, but for the first time, it was at the right end of the table. With Motala sitting 3 point ahead of me and 2 goals better off in the goal difference I needed a pretty big goal swing and a pretty big goal win was what I received. A 5-1 thrashing of Lindsdal in the final; game set me on my way, and then to see Motala getting thrashed by Nykoping 5-1 was the icing on the cake. I had done it!
I HAVE FINALLY WON A TROPHY, A TITLE IS MINE!
I'm on my way to becoming the best manager in the world. The first tiny step has been taken.
This was how my players performed over the season:
My strikers scored 23 goals between them which was great to see and my midfield also chipped in with goals with Jesper Bengtesson becoming my top goalscorer with 13 goals. A great team performance came to fruition and I'm so proud of my players for an unlikely title win.

Exactly bmg a point is definitely better than 0 so that's always good to remember.
Thanks simoncoyne I feel the confidence flowing and some good results are coming.
Cheers Tommo. Let's hope it keeps going.
I did bukinapreto, I've never seen that before and I was a little bit gutted.

Another 9 Games
So here I am after 18 games in the league and I'm still in charge so I guess that is definitely something to be impressed by considering my last few jobs. After a good start to the campaign I was hoping to keep the confidence flowing and the form continuing however turning the draws into wins.
5 wins, 2 losses and 2 draws is definitely something to shout about. The two losses to start off with are games that I never really had a chance in, we never got out of 2nd gear and I am throughly disappointed with those performances. Onto the slightly better results, the two draws. Against Uddervalle we conceded another late goal true to our previous form, and we should have got all 3 points once again. Against Tenhult we should have won the game comfortably but we turned off and let them back into it and then when pressing in the second half we just couldn't put the ball into the net.
The wins were full of great performances. 17 goals scored in these wins which isn't bad at all and only 3 goals conceded. We are a force going forwards and its pleasing to see that we haven't conceded as many this time round.
This left the league table with me in 4th place on 34 points, only 5 points behind the leaders. All to play for with the remaining 8 games left.

AN UNBEATEN START.
The season came around with a new chairman being elected and a loan taken out to cover the costs of the clubs, so it was down to me to build a squad on a minimal wage budget. I'm impressed with who I signed and some have slotted in straight away to the first team. I'm only expected a safe mid table finish this season but I'm aiming higher than that.
An unbeaten start to the season is very impressive however we are collecting too many draws when we should have closed out the game. Last season it was always a late goal the punished us and the squad hasn't learned their lesson. A great first 4 games led to maximum points and it could have gone on a few games longer. I don't think I could have wished for a better start for a mid table team but I think we are one to watch now. Let's hope this run can long continue but we can turn the points into all three.
Lying 3rd in the table and 5 points behind the leaders. Not bad if I do say so myself
#216524 Tongey's Travels.

We never really got into the game but it could have gone either way. Poor quality all over the pitch.
Another loss, disappointing performance, and a leaky defence just about sums this game up. On a hiding to nothing.
A great win against the eventual champions. We postponed their championship party. Their inflatable trophies looked a bit foolish to be honest.
A boring 0-0 draw in a game that meant nothing. We couldn't go up or down so most of the players seemed to play as if they didn't care. A boring way to end the season.
7th in the league at the end of the campaign and I'm happy with that. I came into the club and they were just above the relegation zone and I lifted them to 7th. Building starts now for next season.
