Hi you have to change it in the pre-game editor. Load the file and double click the competition name. It will bring up all the characteristics of the competition. On one of the drop down menus change to one of the competition values changing from friendly to whatever you choose. Options can be Cup Winners Cup or Club Champions Cup etc. You should also change the level to either 0 top of the range down to 20 and pick which type of cup should be presented

I hadn't experienced any crash errors in the game until the 26.3 update. Like many others I experienced the half time or full time crash error. I experienced this firstly with a skin, then stripped it back to the basic files but still had the crash error. I reported it to Sega last night and they responded today that a “hotfix” had been added to the game. When I got home from work the hotfix was downloaded today at 12.27pm. I have tried the game with a skin and no more crashes. Keep an eye out for the hotfix, it doesn't change the version number but should be available for download on Steam if you have not set up automatic updates.

No fixing needed. It's just that the new Alliance League keeps breaking the name with updates. It keeps going back to Mitropa Cup. Just edit tournament name with in-game editor or FMRTE

Hi Lembergman firstly keep up the good work. I have updated my skin on the mac with different backgrounds, fonts, start ups and font colours, so basically mine is a Liverpool theme. I found out through basically trial and error that after 26.2 update, skinbuilder had also updated, so it no longer worked on 0.6-0.5 and 0.6-0.6 anymore [I don't know if this applies to Windows?]. I just updated the skinbuilder app to the latest version 0.6-1.2 and it loaded perfectly. I don't feel comfortable sharing your work because somebody could steal and claim their own work. It is so easy to use the app, as you say it's 15 Minutes work at most with changes and it's done. If anyone wants any help with a mac version I will gladly show which steps to take though. Even if you just take the windows bundles into the skin builder and build it will automatically become a mac version anyway without changing anything.

I have now built this superb skin on the mac but you have to use Skin Builder 0.6-1.2 which now correctly builds the skin. Hope this helps.

You need to download Skinbuilder app and re-create. Have you used this app before?

You have to re-apply the real name fix. Download the Real Name Fix 3.0 on Sortitoutsi and add to the folders in Steam. The reason being there is a 26.02 folder now as well as the 26.0 and the fix has to be applied to both folders.

Anybody having crash issues on start up after the 26.2 it happened to me on the mac. You have to remove any existing editor data files from the game and reload it should then work. All editor files must be re-loaded in the updated pre-game editor as it's now 26.2 compatible and saved. They then can be re-loaded into the editor data folder and will work fine. When you load an old editor data file into the pre-game editor it states this file was used in an older database. Hope this helps.

Also any editor data files you can't test rules on, load into the pre-game editor and then export as an XML file and close editor. Re-load the editor then import the XML file and then save as an FMF.

I don't know creator if you saw this post I left yesterday but the update today has fixed the problem I had on the Mac. I now am able to see the Countries and all leagues that were missing. There are still some transparency issues in the drop downs but nothing major. There was an issue with the fixture schedule being blank in-game, but I discovered in 'Styles/Transfermarket/base.uss some colours [3 in total] were set to 0.0 and 0.00. Resetting them to 0.85, 0.20 and 0.08 brought the fixtures back on screen. I have applied some screenshots to look at. But other than that this skin now works perfectly on the Mac built by Skin Builder. Thank you and keep up the good work.

This is the best skin by a mile for FM26. I have an issue I am on the mac and re-created through skin builder. All works perfectly except in some of the drop down menus they are blank. For example when choosing a nation England is blank but in the sub menu the leagues are there. I have asked ChatGPT to fix the problem but no luck. I just wondered if anyone had any ideas? I know it's a windows based skin but any help would be most appreciated. There are also some in game drop down menus not all that are blank.

Hi I enclosed it as an xml file, so you need to import it and not load it. You can save it as an .FMF file from there. However, at the moment the pre-game editor for FM26 is broken as it does not test files. So to make it work you will have to wait for it to be updated.

OK so please find attached a different version of my Alliance League which is 8 groups of 4 teams. Then the knockout section round of 16, quarter finals, semi finals, final etc. Please use as you want, it is in advanced rules already. If you want a knockout round system then change the group section to cup and just add qualifying rounds to the round of 16. The teams are already listed for you but if you want to increase the number of teams in the list of teams available change the maximum from 2 to 4 or 5 etc. to make up the numbers you need. Don't touch the European competitions I have entered [Ignore teams etc]. Just change the group to cup and enter it into rounds. So you already have a round of 16, so you would only need one more round for 64 teams or two for 128 teams. The more teams you have you would have to increase the maximum number of teams from each league. But just remember the more teams you pull the lower the league finishing position you would use. So for example if you used a maximum of 5 Premier League teams, you could be pulling 14th position in the league for qualification. Just remember when creating the rounds you have to make sure the team structure qualifies for each round, so for example the round of 16 pulls the teams from whichever round beforehand you have created. Give it a go and if you need any help give me a shout.

I can give you an advanced rules template to work with but as I said, because your structure is 128 teams for a new European competition if the teams are in other competitions like the Champions League etc, it will almost certainly mess your calendar, as you will have multiple teams in different competitions.

When you create the competition, in the teams section you have to list the 3 European Competitions and tick ignore all teams. But by doing that, you still have to find at minimum approx. 64 teams. To do that you will have to pick the best teams from each of the leagues in Europe. I chose the top 10 Coefficient Leagues as I only needed approx. 18 teams for my competition. So it was the best two from each league.

The file is not working because it is not in advanced rules and you haven't created the right amount of teams. If you are looking for 128 teams in a European Competition to run alongside the other 3 it will not work, as you will have duplicate teams from other competitions in the one you are creating. In my Alliance League I am only using teams that have qualified that are not in the other 3 and the best teams in their league that did not qualify for Europe the normal way. You would also have a conflict in fixtures which would mess up the normal calendar.

I wanted the competition to mirror the others. I can/t use qualifying rounds as it might disrupt the other qualifying competitions. I do have other files a FIFA Club World Cup that runs every two years instead of 4 and other competitions.

No FM26

It was hard work TBH. I used a Mitropa Cup template which was already in advanced rules. it was st to Europe anyway so I built it from scratch in advanced rules. I tried my hardest to create a knockout round between the 17th to 24th placed teams but it wouldn't work So I had to use top 16 places only. You have to add the fixtures section manually so so team 1 using -1, 6, 10 etc and you have to do that for all 36 teams in the fixtures section. The teams qualification was easy, ignore all 36 teams from the other European Competitions that have qualified and then pick from the play-off rounds of the Conference League and best teams from the other leagues. If you need help try and create a file with what you want and I will update it for you to work in the game.

This looks amazing, well done. Can it load a newgen faces pack into the game? or does it have to be a bundle. I know the numbering would have to be the same as the FM26 numbering. Keep up the good work

Hi mate your config file is wrong it's not r then the number it's r-

It's an editor glitch at the moment. I created a FIFA Club World Cup tournament for FM23 [32 teams] that worked perfectly. When I loaded into FM24 to verify it stated could only find 8 teams. But when i loaded the game the file still works perfectly.

There was an error in this file where the losers went into the final. Updated to 1.1 to correct. My apologies for this.

Just put the .FMF file into your editor data file folder. 

Funny how this kicks off and all of a sudden the European Super League starts getting mentioned again.
