Since today's Steam update, some of the kits that used to work no longer work. Anyone else  the same experiencing?

I'm confident someone will eventually ‘crack the code’  to adjust the ‘look & feel’  (I don't know if ‘ skin’  if still the right word for it after what they did to the UI) 

And it's needed for sure, because the UI is very very bad. The overview and structure for users is completely gone, way too much panels, pop-ups, hidden (sub)menu's, etc. 

I also miss the zoom option (which was presented next to the screen resolution option in previous FM versions) They now replaced it with a 4 options menu to change the texture size, but even on Small, the texture size is huuuuuuge.  Feels like the UI was designed for mobile and console in mind, while the hardcore and largest playing FM community is on PC/MAC (!)

For me: half of the FM experience always came from customized graphics, provided by the community. OPZ Elite transparant skins, hundreds of team specific stadium backgrounds, every player covered via the megapack, boots, trophy's, logo's, you name it. SI is well aware of this and now seems to radically change course. If you take your clients/community serious, you listen and take these essential elements into your standard design for each FM release. These are the basics you just don't touch. Disappointing.

Hello, I download a skink for Fm26 but doesn't work, can you please let me know if I have to create a folder for skins as we normally done on FM24?

MY FIRST FM26 COMMENT

Well... unfortunately, we waited two years (!) for the new version of FM, and it's a disappointment. 

In my humble opinion, the only real improvements are in the game engine (I liked the players' movements, which are more realistic and have more technical details), the idea of two tactics (with and without the ball) and dynamic TV. 

 

The graphics were a complete disappointment. It's not attractive, full of bugs, confusing, ridiculously small boxes with too much information, too many pop-ups, a ridiculous scoreboard, as well as the pop-up that appears when there are goals and many, many more things that are wrong, uninteresting and meaningless... The inability to reload the skin/game without having to exit and re-enter the game when we did a change in the graphics folders is a shame. 

 

The inability to customise skins is an affront to the FM community! 

 

And the logos bugs (many don't appear because of the already reported conflict) make me wonder what kind of shitty testing was done. 

 

Sometimes I wonder what leads SI not to consider the feedback that FM fans have reported and suggested over the years. 

Why not ‘dialogue’ with reference sites (such as sortitoutsi or FMScout) about things that are mentioned every year by FM aficionados and would improve the game and immersion in it? 

Now they've changed ‘everything’ and ‘ruined everything’! 

And anyone who, in the future, if possible, dedicates themselves to improving the graphics (skins) will certainly have a Herculean task ahead of them (and it remains to be seen whether they have radically changed the code itself...). 

 

For my part, I don't think I'll be able to take on this task - the years are weighing on me and relearning everything from scratch doesn't appeal to me, and I don't know if I have the knowledge to do so (as I've always said, I'm not an expert - I've learned about the code over the years, through experience and, often, through trial and error). 

 

We'll see... I can only hope that new skinners will emerge, with the willpower, energy and knowledge to help us make the game more interesting. 
 

It was good while it lasted! But I believe (at least for now) that FM26 closed a chapter of  my life, full of challenges and pleasure which helped me to deal and, by moments, to "forgot" the real daly problems of the life.

@flut  is it correct that skins not possible are in FM2026? If so, the gaming experience without your beautiful Flut skin that I've been using for ages will be a lot less.

So wait, if i understand that right, you can´t play with the transfers that happend in reality this summer?

Something strange is happening to me, I don't know if it's happening to others too. I'm not receiving messages about injured players. Today I started a friendly match and found out that three players got seriously injured during training.
