Regarding the xml, in general the "original" or the equivalent to the original are in the respective folders. The other I included (those one with 1, 2, 3 etc) are directly in the panels folder. It easy for me lol

Hi maurice: as you can imagine is not easy to me help you when I can't see screenshots and the structure of your folders. However you can try the following: drop all the graphics folders you have in the pictures folder of the game (this folder should be inside the graphics folder of the game) and keep only the superpack folder. Reload the game and in preferences/interface don't forget to untick the option "use caching...". If the stadium still not appear, drop all the folders of the superpack and keep only one for a nation you want. Reload the game and look again in order to see if it appears now. If it works you just have to use the try and error method (adding each one of the folders, or groups of folders in order to be faster, and reload the game after each of the changes in order to understand what is the folder or folders that causes the problem, After that you can rename those folders starting by "z" or two or three etc "zzzzz" for assure that folders will be the last folders to be read by the game (the game read the folders in alphabetical order)

In fact the code is different for that panels and for lineups panel (for example). However, if i use the code similar to the lineups panel the buttons for changing the view (at the top left of the pitch) don't work...so, I can't help you.

Regarding your questions.
1. and 2. You should use background stadiums. You can download the superpack HERE. After download it you have to find the folder "players" and rename it for zzplayers (if you don't do it the player photo will be shown instead of the stadium.
3. No. Those xmls are not backups. They are xmls with changes in order to show the specific stuff of FlutSkin. If you delete it, lots of panels will not work well.

Hi danny: It seems you still have the wrong "overlay,png" . Maybe you are playing with zoom. If this is the reason, go to skin/graphics/pictures/kits/2d/outfield(back/zoomed/large and duplicate the transparent kit named overlay and rename this new png as overlay@2x
Overwrite the overlay@2x who is in the folder (I didn't the overlay for zoom play).

Sorry I did a mistake in the code. Please look again in my comments (I edited it).
Regarding your question the answer is yes. You should do the changes I told you in each one of the lines (but if you use the application notepad++ you can change all the configs - and all the lines of the configs only in two steps; first search for team in all the configs of the "new" folder with kits, and use the menu change by "club". After do the same for kits/home by logo/background/left

Hi samirah: you have to open the config for a 2d kit. Inside you can see lots of code lines like the following:
<record from="palheira1" to="graphics/pictures/team/2062002129/kits/home"/>
In each of the code lines you should replace team (in bolf above), by club; and kits/home (also in bold in the example) by logo/background/left
thus, the code will be
<record from="palheira1" to="graphics/pictures/club/2062002129/logo/background/left"/>
You should do it for each one of the configs of 2d kits.

I can't test it, however try an other strategy. Go to that folder I told you and open the paper.xml
By try and error method (and don't forget to reload the game after all of the change you made in the xml) changes the values of

Hi fascinoso73 : you have to create a new 2d kits folder with different config code. Do the following:
Duplicate your kits folder and change the config of each one of that folders. In the code for each club kit, change “team” by “club” and “kits/home” by “logo/background/left” (you can do it easily for all of them with notepad++). After that, rename the folder to (for instance) “aaakitsaslogos” put that new folder in my docs/Sports interactive/football manager 2017/graphics/logos.
