Someone appears to have misunderstood exactly what this means. Setting a person to "Retired Person" strips out all data about that person apart from a name and an ID. They are in the game by name, nothing more. Setting Michael Carrick and Per Mertesacker to this does not make them staff members, it gets rid of all of their data which is why they don't appear in-game in their correct roles.

This person type should only be set on people who have retired from football completely and have no active participation in football anyway. You should be using the person type "Non-Player" for players who retire and go into coaching/management.

As a player yes, not from football entirely. He's working as a first team coach for Man Utd

Why has this been approved, let alone submitted? There are no reputable sources of this anywhere, and to back it up he's currently going to Fulham on loan for the season if they can complete it before the window shuts.

Surely you can't allow submitters to moderate their own changes? Kinda defeats the point

Hi guys,

so then FM13 and first post as Update Manager. Those of you that have played the beta/demo and taken a look through the issues forum on SI will see that there is a fair few data issues that need fixing. It is fairly likely that SI will release patch either on release or just after, however I do not expect this to affect the database so we should be able to start work straight away.

Proposed release date: 9th November

That gives us a week to go through the issues forum on SI. If we don't get it done in a week then we hold off for another week. I would rather the above release date stayed amongst us for now because it's still tentative. We can let people know we are working on a release and that it will be out shortly but I don't want to announce a date and then have to push it back. Once it's ready we'll put it out there. Unless there is any glaring problems then this should be the only release between now and January. I'll start planning out what we're going to do then a bit closer to the time.

File Rota

If no-one has any objections then I'd like to keep the rota pretty much the same as last year, except I will move to Friday's and Neil (Wally) to Tuesday.

Monday: Nico

Thursday: Darren
Friday: Luke

SI have lost the license to have real life order of fixtures for 2014 qualifying and real life friendlies by the look of it. Portuguese league last year, now this. What next year?

So, looks like we've got some work on our hands judging by the Data Issues section and the national issues. Namely adding in scheduled international friendlies for 2012-2013, correcting competition names and picking up on stuff that missed data lock.

When should we be looking to make our first release?

We won't be supporting FM12 any longer after FM13 comes out I'm afraid, it's way too much work and all of us will be moving to FM13 anyway.

Sorry Jimmy but I'm afraid I have no idea at all what's going on there, and I don't know if SI will take a look at it because it's a third party update.

You may have an extra file loaded that's messing it up, the English leagues are set correctly.

It may be because they're in administration still. Check the box for administration in the editor is unticked.

They had a transfer ban imposed on them from 1.9.12 until 30.6.13 (set a year early in game for obvious reasons) by the Scottish FA.

Do you get the same issue if you use a different team? Have you made any alterations at all? Have you tried redownloading the file?

Try redownloading the file. Also are you in windowed mode?

It can be. Just put the .dbc file into Documents\Sports Interactive\editor data, open the editor, go to 'File', 'load database'. Choose 12.2 and load it. Then, go to 'File' and 'load editor data file', choose our file and you'll be up and running.
