So you get absolutely 0 pictures now for all the regens? Or only some have silhouette? Regarding staff (not media, but real staff) - do you also get silhouettes or it stays by SI generated face?

Silhouettes just smells SI bug to me, because regens should never ever get silhouettes. Silhouettes are for real players who dont have picture attached. Newgens should get either SI face or an assigned picture. Silhouettes might point towards that something around your “Show pictures of players (and Staff)  who have been generated by the game” is totally bugged. I would probably try uncheck it, save-reload, see if it had any effect, then check back and save-reload again

Hi, Im not sure, but wasnt that a bug that SI officially recognized and later clamed to got fixed?… I will check the changelogs for FM26 if Im right, but Im almost positive I saw that as fixed SI bug

Both of your problems look like bugs on SI side. Specifically regarding Female Staff there are a lot of reports, that FM26 ignores their assignments since the latest patch. I havent done a deep tshoot on my side yet, but many people reporting this same problem.

“silhouettes” is also a classic example of an SI bug where the game refuses to load pictures for some reason. There is no fix that works for everyone unfortunatelly. Someone says pictures will load up eventually after a couple of hours of play. Some say tweaking with graphical settings forced the game to refresh. Also double check your settings are as on this screenshot (you can also try to change that, save, restart game, then rever back, save, restart).

I will see what I can do and if there is anything I can do at all or if that is something SI should fix.

Press is generally almost impossible to troubleshoot. They are unclickables, no way to export, no visible IDs. I just kinda have to cross my fingers and hope it works.

Female Staff are theoretically easier to troubleshoot as they have real profiles, but finding them in FM26 is also a pain as you cant filter by geneder, by ID or by newgen/real tag.

Not yet, probably comes in the next update. I already know how to export PA on most players, but there are some outliers I still havent figured out.

If the current version works for you, then you are not loosing anything. Both versions are wired to exactly the same API for both News and Updates, so they get exactly the same Picture Updates at exactly the same time. Unless SI breakes something that the memory reader stops working completely Im only planning to make a full switch starting FM27.

If this is a beta phase save, like if you have started it on first week of early access, then yes, those are different for some reason, especially regarding how females are being stored. I also have 1 save from day 1 and it has a different structure compared to modern saves… eventhough it is weird that both scanners have same issues…

I have investigate the save SpCeltic have sent and I can confirm I see the issue on FM26 where some players are being skipped by the scanner. I am currently looking into what can be done about than.

If your game is already running, then you save the game, then you scan the freshly saved file and after that you restart the game (FM26) or reload skin (FM24)

If your game is not running, you can scan from the save file that you have saved the last time you were playing and then start the game.

Is this a native FM26 save or migrated from FM24? If you go in the generate page and select your profile it will tell you how many mappings you have in the Profile Status tile - how many is that? Could you please send me your save via https://wetransfer.com/ to [email protected]?

Hi, have you tried to save, go to the main menu, reload back and rescan/reload after that? If yes, you can also try the new version that I have posted above. You can try it in parallel to your current one and if it breakes something you can always revert back

@ahmed_baky Hmm interestingly enough it acts differently on different saves or screen for some reason. I have a save where Im at a start of the season and that first press conference email pops up with a list of attending press and they have pictures. In another save Im mid season and press dont seem to have it…

Female staff I cant yet confirm, searching or troubleshooting FM26 is like pulling your teeth via your rectum… But if you say my software finds them and attaches them a picture, then it must be on SI side. I feel they have broken something with the last update… I will see if there is anything I can do from my side, but right now it seems out of my reach.

So, I think I’m ready to call my Savereader thingy testing-ready.

It is a complete rewrite in a completely different language and UI framework. I have tried to make it look as similar to the current version as possible; almost all buttons from version 2.6 are roughly where they used to be. In general, it looks a bit less "flashy," but trust me, the change was worth it. I will continue to improve the visuals over time. This new version can exist parallel to your current version. Trying it will not affect your current installation.

Who is it for, and how is it different?

Mac: This brings the most improvements to you. No SIP deactivation or sudo is needed. It runs as a normal application without requiring additional rights or complicated workarounds.

Windows: This is for you if the current version doesn’t work or gets blocked by your antivirus. This new version should trigger far fewer false positives. It is "full green" on VirusTotal, though I’m still prepared to be disappointed. Please let me know if the new file gets blocked for you.

Steam Deck / Linux: This requires no sudo, so if that was a showstopper for you, give this one a try!

What is ready for testing:

• FM24 (native, not FM23 migrated) and FM26 (native, not FM24 migrated) saves using the latest main picture pack (or at least the one with the AZE, ISR, and TJK expansions).
• ID Recycle Protection logic.
• Pack Installer feature (nothing to install yet, but the new PP will come eventually).
• Manual Assignment page.

Known Issues:

• Staff Classification: A small percentage of staff (~1–3%) may be incorrectly classified as players (which might result in seeing "Female Players" as a non-zero value in FM24).
• Player Classification: Players incorrectly classified as staff—a very low number, likely <0.1%.
• Mapping: Non-default mapping profiles are not ready yet (affects 0.01% of users).

I will add a proper guide and documentation for this version over the weekend, but it functions very similarly to the current version. You can essentially follow the existing guide or YouTube video, just select "Load a Save file" instead of "Read from memory." Another major difference: You do not need to have the game running in the background. You still can, but it is no longer required.

I have asked AI and those are two things I would check:

Unblock the file

Right-click the .exe → Properties

If you see “Unblock” → click it → Apply

Fix permissions

Right-click file/folder → Properties → Security

Ensure your user has Read & Execute

If not: Edit → grant permissions

Hi, it is hard to say exactly, the first thing that comes to mind - are you using any DB updates? Maybe they are pre-generated real players, those do not get regen faces.

Only new pictures. I reupload the main pack roughly every 2-3 picture packs that I release so that new users wont have to spend an hour downloading updates

Not via the newgen-style assignment, SI blocks that for some reason. Bassy told he might have an idea of what can be tried to change it via “unity” methods, but I guess he hadnt time yet to sort that out.

Hello, this might be ID Recycling - FM reuses old IDs (that already got pictures attached) for completely different players. Please try to save your game, then go back to the main menu, then reload back into your save and re-scan in Preserve mode after that. Then restart your game and check if that helped.

ID Recycling protection on my side currently has a small bug where if the only thing that has changed between old and new player is the gender (f.e. ID of East Asian Japanese female player got reused for an East Asian Japanese male player), then ID protection does not trigger and such puctures wont get reassigned.

Nah, Im more affected by my small kids and the need to move flats in two month. But Im kind of used to work in such schedule over the last year 😀

Im currently working on making the new GUI working + migrating last pieces of the picture assignment logic.

The scanner itselfs… lets say it works. Savegame patterns are a lot more unstable than memory patterns, so there is a lot of guess work involved to reverse engineer everything but most importantly to test it. Since there is no way to export data from FM I rely on comparing data with the memory scanner (which in itself had some guess work involved)… 

I hope to make everything compile and run in about a week time, after that either another week for more testing or I put it out as an Alfa version so people could try for themselves.

I still havent found a way to export player names or PA, but I think that is not that important for now. The biggest problem I currently have is to properly differentiate between players and staff, there is still like 5-10% that I sort by age as a backup.

Hi, this only possibly affects the bundle method. If you use the software method (which I strongly advice on Windows as the experience is not even close on the bundle), then it works without problems. At least I have tested it on all possible saves (new, old, migrated from FM24) and had no issues.
