Regarding your question: I personaly havent encounter that, but since the pack is being used by more than 100k people I have heard many different stories from other users, most of them boiling down to UI being rather bad optimized. Pictures not loading at first, but then suddenly starting appearing in a middle of a playthrough, long loading times, stuttering. Game works fine one day, stutters on another, then again runs fine… Apparently the split FM24/FM26 is roughly 50/50, but 90% of my bug reports come from FM26 🙂

Never heard about the game actually crashing though, so I hope you are safe.

Hmm the bundle might be broken, they have changed something with newgens in that update, probably the bundle needs to be repackaged or something similar… I will try to rebundle it soon, but it might take some.

Hi not sure about bundle, but I have tested the Windows/Linux scanner on both existing and new saves and it seem to be working as before. Cant test on Mac, I hope someone can confirm.

Also independet of that (and I understand it probably simply came pre-installed with your PC) McAfee is an absolute trash tier antivirus, borderline malware itself. 

Hang tight my friend. Im turnining onto the finish line with my Savegame scanner development. It will replace the current memory scanner and will work exactly the same for Windows, Mac and Linux with no need to disable SIP. If I succeed it will be a blessing for Mac and will solve all the issues including yours.

Also, a quick update on the project: I’m currently working on my own savegame scanner as a replacement for the memory scanner.

The current mem scanner works well on Windows, but it’s a pain to use on Mac and a pain to maintain, as it effectively needs three different code versions for three different OSs. It also triggers a lot of antivirus warnings; the pattern of “connecting to another process and reading its memory” is very malware-like, so it frequently flags AI modules.

I’m working on a solution that will allow the tool to read all information directly from the savegame file. This should allow me to use the same codebase for all systems and eliminate the need to turn SIP off on Macs. I’m also migrating the entire codebase to Rust, which should speed up the processing of very large save files and add support for older Intel Macs.

No ETA yet, as my schedule is very unpredictable right now, but I’m already making good progress.

Also, Brazil will be getting an updated Picture Pack next.

For manual way you would have to manually keep your “Savegame Profiles” folder from the software directory (AppData/Roaming/com.cprrylow/NG_Regens Manager 26/) in sync on both devices + make sure you install the same picture packs on both machines.

I would strongly suggest to use some kind of automated synchronization - either via some kind of cloud storage (GDrive, Dropbox etc) or via direct syncing (highly recommend looking into Syncthing, probably the best solution for your usecase and completely free https://syncthing.net/ There should be many youtube tutorials on that and is cross platform)

Hi, please check if your NG_Regens picture foler is in your FM26 graphics folder and that you see config.xml files being added inside it. Also since you also have FM24 make sure you create your savegame profiles for FM26, not for FM24

no, sorry, that is SI. Might be some graphical settings (like low/medium or something) or a mod conflict… You can try to ask in our Discord in Bassy's channel, maybe the guys there will have an idea

Hi, only just got time to do a quick rebuild. I have specifically set it to require v1 Instruction set instead of v4. If this still wont work I will have to do a longer RTFM session on how to build for Linux properly 😀

@Copywriter maybe you need to reassign it again? Also apparently there is a bug that causes a big time delay between loading a game and pictures actually showing up, maybe that is the case here…

@baccus1581 Dipende dal tipo di file che stai utilizzando. Se utilizzi il file bundle, non ci sono stati aggiornamenti. Se utilizzi la versione software, puoi ottenere tutti gli ultimi aggiornamenti direttamente tramite il software. Spero che questo ti sia d'aiuto, forza ferrari, ciao!

Ah then it is easy, you are missing the Staff pack pictures. I suggest simply redownload the latest Main Pack as not every picture pack has been release for the 25 version (as the 25 simply cant use Staff or Womens Football packs), that will surely bring you to the latest most up-to-date state. You probably can only copy the Staff folder from it into your current NG_Regens folder, you should be good otherwise.

Do you see Staff being found on that memory scan result screen (the colorful one with Player Male, Player Female, Staff Male, Staff Female total found numbers)? Do you have them selected (should be by default)?

If you go into /Football Manager 26/graphics/NG_Regens/Staff/NorthCentralEurope/male/do you see pictures + config.xml file inside?

no worries mate. I have rebuilt using some generic parameters I have found, so I hope it is better now. It is possible that I will need to rebuild once again on something like Ubuntu 20 because of something like glibc, Im still new to developing for/under Linux.

Ah good to know, yeah CachyOS is bleeding edge, probably got some defaults from there. I will recompile in the evening on some better settings. This obvously doesnt need v4, just bad settings on my side, thanks for reporting!

JFYI I have prepared a Linux/StemDeck build for the full method, I have very limited gaming Linux experience and I dont own a SteamDeck so yeah, ideal combination 😄 I built and tested on Cachy using Steam/Proton, so thats what it expects (almost sure it wont work with Epic because of the different folder structure). It doesnt require root to run the the GUI part (so you can probably theoretically make it run with FM24 shortlists, albeit I havent tested it yet), but it does require root for the scanner subprocess (there is probably another way via tinkering with /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope but Im not sure what is more/less invasive). The rest is identical to Windows guide.

You can try downloading from a different place (either from my web or from here) or using a different browser. The only other option is to whitelist the software. Yeah, unfortunatelly the tech is not there yet. Or like it is, but not out of the box and time investment would be immense. It is something I play with from time to time to check where we are. I want to test on Staff first as theoretical possible age gap there is a lot bigger + total number of pictures for Staff pack is rather low.

Interesting! I must admin I have yet to see a 2003.. player, so I assumed 2002999999 was the upper limit. I really did have a condition in code that filtered out everything above that. I have rised the limit to 2003999999 now, you can download the updated scanner file here, I cant test it unfortunatelly as I have no save with 2003 players available…

Put it into c:\Program Files (x86)\NG_Regens Manager 26\data\flutter_assets\assets\memoryreader\ overwriting the one that is there (maybe make a backup just to be sure), after that restart the software and re-scan in preserve mode. I hope it works and thanks for reporting!

Also another user has reported a bug (not related to the problem above) that affected Algeria players (both male and female) from being found on FM26, I have a fixed file here (folder to put is the same as above)

The lazy method is completely in God’s SI hands, unfortunately. There’s nothing I can do here to help you.

On Windows, I strongly recommend using the full method with the software, as the bundle method is inferior in every way imaginable.

On Linux/macOS, I understand that the whole VM approach is very user-unfriendly, but again, there’s nothing I can do about it. Sorry, folks.
