I managed to get NEWGAN working with the “r-” config change.

However is everyone experiencing Japanese players are not showing. Its definately showing in the config but not showing up in the game. This is different for other nationalities….which is showing correctly.

See an example:

This image should be showing:

Start of Season 1

A host of pre-season matches saw Anderlecht get a well deserved prep for the start of the season. Since the start of the season Anderlecht has gotten off to a flyer with an unbeaten run of 8 games.

The manager has got a winning formulae so far with a formation that concentrates on ball possession and hurting the opposition through the middle.

Transfer Window 1

With £4.7 transfer budget, we decided to bring in some additional players. Jozak advised us on an experienced midfielder to go along with our young midfield. Marko Docic was our preferred choice and we snapped him up for £550k.

A big admirer of next player by the manager was right central defender Timothee Pembele. Contact was made with his camp. He was convinced of the project ahead and Jozak wasted no time in brining him in from PSG for £775k.

Souts were hard at work trying to find an inverted winger who could also play an attacking midfield role. Scouts have been following Tete Morente a 26yr old Spanish player at Betis. Jozak made contact and it was tough negotiations. But we managed to secure his services at an initial £1.9m with £2.6m addons. Negotiations with the players camp was not straight forward but we eventually got it over the line.

A late bid for Benito Raman came in from Genk. The player made it known he wanted to leave and so Anderlecht was facing a race to secure another striker. The manager put forward Danny Namaso as his preferred option. Calls to Porto went well into the evening and there was an agreement reached for £1.5m

New Director of Football

After concrete talks the Anderlecht owners there was a decision to make a change in the Director of Football position. Remeo Jozak was the name on everyone's lips and it wasn't very long to see this appoint. With great adaptability and negotiation skills we will be sure to need him getting to business as soon as possible.

Assistant Manager Appointment: René Marić

Rene boasts a credible football resume at such a young age and has worked with top clubs like Leeds United, Dortmund, RB Salzburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach. Austrian born, Rene enjoys using the genenpress style which suits our formation. Rene brings experience in our transitional play between 4312 to 433. His easy media friendly approach and determination make him a useful addition. Areas of development is in people management and that will improve with more years of experience. He can also ensure necessary discipline is applied and his good adaptability will make him work easily with other staff. Tactically Rene is astute in making sure we are seeking to address the weaknesses of our opposition.

Season 1 - Anderlecht

Kickoff on our journey starts with Anderlecht. A prestigious club in Belgium with 34 League Titles, 1 UEFA Europa League, 2 Super Cups, 2 European Cup winners cup and a host of domestic cups.  The Lotto Park stadium seats around 21 500 and was originally built in 1918. The club was first founded in 1908 and today boasts top training and youth facilities. Most notably in recent times they have produced players like Vincent Kompany.

With £4.7m pounds in the transfer kitty, and £30m bank balance, Anderlecht is an exciting prospect. Unfortunately their net debt stands at around £105m which means there wont be increased transfer budget unless there is increase in revenue or reduction of debt. Wage budget sits at a modest £ 405k per week with over 81% of the wages already used up.

Fortunately, Anderlecht boasts a decent u18 and youth setup that is shown as strong status with high potential. This means we definitely have options to bring youth through to the first team. Three players are currently out on loan. With 14 Home Grown players in the first team, we have ensure we keep those numbers up as Belgium league has strict rules in ensuring enough home grown players are in your match day squad.

Anderlecht failed to make top 3 in previous season, with 14 league titles won from 1990, and 7 runner up places in the league. This makes them a serious contender, and last seasons failures are sure to be unacceptable for such a big club.

Our goals for the season:

1.  Minimum target: break into the top 3. Stretch target is to try and eclipse Clube Brugge on their recent strangle hold on the title for the last 3/4 seasons. Antwerp is also a team to be weary about as the clinched the title previous season. Making top 3 could bring European nights back to Anderlecht and be sure to raise the transfer kitty. An incentive to clinching the title would also be a shot at the Belgian Super Cup next season, which Anderlecht surprisingly last won in 1988.

2. Try and secure at least a domestic trophy - the Croky Belgian Cup.

One story worth sharing was the race to the title with Arsenal. For the most part Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal were at locker heads and it quickly became a 3 legged race to the title. All 3 teams were resilient. It was only until the last 4 games or so did Chelsea begin to fade away. This left Arsenal and United fighting it out. United had games in hand. As you might say in football, having the points on the board is better than games in hand. I was waiting for United to really slip up and it was proving this was not the case. I just kept on picking up maximum points hoping they would slip somewhere. What happened next was really surreal. Great moment in FM.

LAST TWO LEAGUE GAMES

http://s22.postimg.org/3r6fi7g5d/game36.png

So we around 2 games to go. United on 36 games. Arsenal on 37 games. United need a minimum of 2 points in their last 2 games (Liverpool away, Newcastle Away). I am thinking its United to lose. I have basically resigned to the fact I will have to try and win the league with Arsenal again in another season. Obviously I was trying to aim for 7 titles in 7 seasons...and was starting to accept that might not be the case.

United faced Liverpool (the club I follow and a big fan of) and I hoped atleast they would draw. True and behold, Liverpool smashed United 4-2. I was estatic. A small glimmer of hope but still thinking a win would clinch it for them. More importantly they had the much more superior goal difference.

http://s10.postimg.org/l1ucz3eft/lfc.png

This result was good. Liverpool actually made it to the CL final under Klopp along with Arsenal. The win was a true testament to the club I follow dearly helping me out. So we entered the last game of the season with United on top just needing a win. How the table had turned - 2 points in 2 games turned to need 3 points in 1 (cause getting 2 points from 1 game was not possible).
Arsenal faced Southampton and took the lead and raced to a 3-0 lead. United went 2-0 up and at the half time, it sunk in. United were going to snatch this from Arsenal. When it got to 80 min respectively, things turned around. Newcastle got one back. I totally ignored my match and continued to watch the latest score update widget on screen. Hoping Newcastle would get the second.
Then on 82 minutes Newcastle got their 2nd goal (Wijaldum you beauty!!!!). I was surprised and happy at the same time. I quickly got back focus to my game and saw Southampton pulled two back and it was now 3-2. First thought was: Is this FM really going to f* with me. I am 3-0 up and now stand to possible draw this game...and United who lose their lead are going to win by just getting 1 pt. This now meant just 1 point in last 2 games would seal their fate. Thankfully Arsenal made it 4-2 in 90+ minutes and Newcastle held their nerve to keep the draw. This allowed Arsenal to leap frog united and steal the Barclays premiership under them. For the first time, no Fergie time could save them and they bottled under the pressure. Needless to say I was dancing and in a good mood in my living room when this happened. Thankfully family was in bed and asleep to not see my antics. Below is a snapshot of that moment in time- where dreams do come true in games.

http://s10.postimg.org/gnmc6mkt5/match.png

A good mate Quintin is also carrying our this challenge (who may post) got a running commentary from me on iMessage and encouraged me to post this. He himself enjoyed recent Inter success and his new City endeavours is already a good start. I am sure we both will have stories to tell but we were both astonished to see United lose grip and the twist and turns this brought at the send of season four.

The good thing for me is the race for ...7 titles in 7 seasons is till on. Four in four and 3 to go (Spain, Germany and Italy). Lets do this!
