Oh maybe we didn't understood each other since the beginning haha. Let me be more clear. I knew that the rules were 3 from 5 , which is the problem, as it isn't right compared to real life.
In real life, teams MUST have 14 players for the game, so 3 subs with unlimited changes, players can come back on the pitch after being substituted (just like basketball for example). And during the last 10 minutes, you are only allowed for 2 last changes (and 2 others in case of overtime).
And that is what I'm trying to implement in the editor and wondering if it's possible to create such rule.

and that is not possible the sub rules are confined to the drop down options in the editor

yep its as I said, there is no such rule and the game shows the actual sub rules for the comp

so either there is something hardcoded or its a bug

of interest try looking at player rules in a team/club playing in that league - this will show rules set in fixture index rules I doubt it will show anything like the sub rules but there could be something bizarre there too

Here you can see the same part for one of the 6th division groups. Is that the line in my red circle that let us choose players per GAME ?

On the second pic it's the substitutes rules part. I can clearly see “all subs allowed” but I doubt that it means that a player can come out and come back on the game, it might also mean that ALL squad players are allowed on the bench, hard to tell before I test. Thanks again for your help.

image 1- relates to something different eg its rules like you can only pick 5 players who played in your last match so you have to freshen the squad up nothing to do with subs

image 2 sub rules- All subs is usually 12 from 12 and as said I have never seen the rule to allow rolling subs you need to ask the person who made the file,

I doubt they did this, its hard coded IMO would like it as an option though as ideal for pre season cups I have set up would be a good feature for them

as you also show most of the leagues are actually 3 from 5 subs in the editor[including the leagues with these bizarre rules]

I am no longer using fm21, so opened in fm23 editor[so not ideal]

I cannot find anywhere where those rules have been added I have even created a xml file opened in notepad +++ and found 377 entries re subs, none match

IIRC in older versions of the editor there may have been options here to add specific players rules but I have not seen anything that specific before

I suggest you ask the person who made the file as this may be hardcoded by SI

when free post an image of the rules showing in game for these leagues

Hello everyone,

I am using a database allowing to play from 8th french divsion. Only “issue” with it is that the substitutes rules are not correct.
from bottom tier to 6th divsion, the teams must play with 14 players, with unlimited substitues where any player that was sent out can come back to the game. Until the last 10th minutes where you can only make 2 last changes (2 more in case of overtime).
My question is, can I be THAT specific in the advanced rules ? Because I saw that we can add unlimited changes but cannot chose how many players are on the bench.
And correct me if I'm wrong but I might need to edit EVERY SINGLE group with these rules right ?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

they will crash your game if you use these on Mac. at least that happened for me

if that was the case there would be many reports from other users, there hasnt been

it is probably an issue your side with conflicts between other files, or a game issue/s- there are many issues that cause crashes

either way if you are getting game crashes report to SI on their bugs forum

thank you ive just done laliga2 and serie b i just havent uploaded yet because im in the middle of doing bundesliga and budesliga 2 before i upload il check your slovenian file out and add it and give you credit for it if you want i appreciate any help my plans are to finish english leagues and that will probaly be it time to play a bit of fm23👍 i wont be touching france or portugal because of rule changes not been implemented if making changes

Ive update the OP to cover this, and stop the same requests being made over and over as the thread grows

just keep updating it as and when you add/update any leagues so users wont need to post when it is already covered

Attached is a zip file containing the following:

I've also attached the Serbia file that is complete but unfortunately won't validate, it presents the following error (and I've so far been unsuccessful in fixing it)
“Serbian First League, Borat has no squad selected for Serbian First League Preliminary Phase match on 5/8/2023”

Hey Mush! I've spent the last few days writing a script to take the Transfermarkt schedule page and convert it so I can just paste the data into a temp exported results file and then import it within the editor, ultimately making the creation of these files only take a couple minutes (the part that will take the longest is assigned the teams to their ids).

Tested it out on the Portuguese Premier League and it seems to have come out as expected!

I'll PM you and let you know of my plan to do the other leagues.

Edit: Followed up with completing the Second Tier of Portugal. From what I can tell everything is accurate aside from two things:
FM can swap the order of teams on the same points compared to the real table (at game load)
I currently am using the 11/14 start date file, so certain results aren't taken into account. I will look to adjust the start date file to continue testing but I don't expect it to change anything for the worse

That's the way to go mate

The club IDs is the time consuming bit

I am sure there was a guy on si forums who found a way to export them

I will try to find out for you

Which I would have to buy to save etc. Just wondering if the original .fm save can be updated with the real squads.

how would you mange that? play as 32 managers and pick the squads, resign and how do you get the original managers back in place without using an IGE?
